I like the look of this better than the "retail?" head we saw a few weeks ago. Less busy. Better colors. I don't even mind the sharpie marks on the face.

Really? Wow, that's surprising. Those initial pictures looked like a swirly blue mess.

Also looks way better without that orange DI. Those two were not the best head shaft combo as far as color goes from the earlier pics we saw.

Depends if you can feel it or not.  Matsuyama used white out or paint that could be felt on the club face.  As long as it can't be felt it's allowed, which a regular sharpie can't.  Though the rule states it can't change the performance of the ball.  Who is going to test spin numbers with a Sharpied out face to let us know?

Definitely a step back from the Rogue ST which I almost went with, I'm sure it performs but I'm not a fan of the look.

I'm inclined to agree. While I always reserve judgment until I have the actual club in my hand to see for myself, I won't deny that the Rogue ST line is their best-looking I've seen from them in many years (maybe ever)

 

Of the new offerings from the big companies, Callaway and Taylormade feel underwhelming, and surprisingly I'm most excited about Ping's new line. Never thought I'd ever say that...

Right? Like ever since SLDR, Callaway and TM have found a way always bring the heat and this year just feels like both of the took a chance on the "refined look" and it was a total whiff.

If TM fixed their face cracking issue with the Stealth2 I'd love to try it again. It performed really well for me until it failed a few months in. Personal experience has taught me that I could learn to disregard a club's looks, just as long as it performs. That's why I'm really intrigued to test Ping's offerings, as I'm curious to see how well they've implemented carbon in their woods.

This driver looks just as good as my og sim. Not sure why folks think this is ugly? The back weight piece at address isn't as clean as I'd like it, that's about all I can see "wrong" with it.

Looks like it straight up performs. If I wasn't such a TM fanboy that and the ping g430 lst look super solid. 

 

Also, isn't the triple 🔹🔹🔹S supposed to be a bit more compact?

I think this is a very good looking clubhead and I’m not a Callaway guy but it’s pretty sharp

I get what you are saying some.
 

but Their mantra is more make a retail head then tweak it for the tour guys. Not the other way around.
 

From what I am hearing internally is they are actually trying to get away from all the different tour heads and simplify their heads to fit into these three design. Probably won’t go completely away But feeling left out because X tour Pro got some special tweaked for him head is nutso. It probably wouldn’t fit you or me all that well anyway. Unless you swing like x tour pro. It was made for that guy. 
 

 

plus, we all know the tour guys get special treatment. Is there a reason that we should feel special and get the triple dot quad Diamond s head? It is not worth them making them to sell 7 to Wrx members. When 90% of the heads sold at retail will be the standard or draw bias heads anyway.

No LS or S?  The standard triple diamond in Rogue ST was higher spin more draw biased than the LS.   But in the Rogue ST they decided that the higher spin head was tour only while they sold the LS head to the public.

 

So which version is this?

Good thing Xander is going to use it to have another successful year on tour and not you.

 

I get not liking the look of a new offering I think we have all done that, but to say it's going to be a flop is kind of funny. I bet it sells really well this year.
