No model is perfect and the idea of "best player" can be pretty subjective, but they use a pretty good model based on adjusted scoring and recent trends.

Agreed here. Played Torrey twice and both times it was in perfect shape, the greens were pure, and played well. Nothing but great things to say about the entire property. And the fact the clubhouse looks like your typical muni makes it that much more special.

There is a picture of Jon Rahm on Golf Channel swinging a lofted club, maybe a wedge, with a blue shaft in it.

 

Maybe it's the reflection of the sunlight, but it looks like an old Grafalloy Blue in a wedge!

A pretty tight leaderboard. Two strokes to go from the cut line to T24. 
 

Looks like less wind today so scoring should be better than yesterday.  Guys on the cut line or at -1 will have a real chance to get into the top 20.

Morikawa missed another 4 foot putt today.  He missed two 4 foot putts yesterday and 2 on Wednesday.  These are made 90% of the time.
