Word is he's still got his swing and has been playing money games.  Agree that it's probably going to be a bit of a work in progress to get back into competitive golf shape, but golf is really the one sport where we see guys disappear from the radar for years and suddenly they're leading a tournament on a Saturday.

 

Time will tell.  Love to see him get his game back.

Why would he have swagger? He’s not playing for anything, no real pressure - whatever “swagger” he has, if any, will be manufactured. 
 

I expect a nice guy hitting some balls and people fawning all over it.  I’ll have to rely on reports, haha, haven’t watched one minute of LIV golf.

No idea what that means, but I don't have an Anthony Kim poster on my bedroom wall that's my last look before I go to sleep, lol -- which has been the "vibe' with all the Anthony Kim hype.  I'd feel a little sorry for him except he managed to find a way around his insurance claim (all founded on a career allegedly and irrevocably ended - oops, now has the $$$$ to buy his way out and . . . can play golf) and cash in on some decades old popularity.  No doubt he'll be smiling out there.

The money in the game is VASTLY different than it was when AK stopped playing.  Even putting PIF/LIV money aside, his rumored insurance payout was $10-20M (nobody really knows).  There are so many more clothing deals, YouTube, Instagram, and other ways to make up that money it's going to be a drop in the bucket if he can get back anywhere close to his game.

I predict an even easier than usual setup to give him a chance but totally agree except Kim probably doesn't care that much about his image having been paid and will go back to obscurity fairly soon with security if he doesn't blow it.

Yes, and I’m not looking for it to be the train wreck many are hoping for.  If he has been playing the money games that have been rumored, with his own money on the line, he’s potentially more ready to compete than virtually any of the other LIV players who’ve essentially been playing with house money.

Why would an easier setup favor AK over the rest of the field?  They’re all playing the same course. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Respectable in this case is relative.  If he finishes DFL by a bunch on an “easy” layout he’s still liable to look foolish by comparison.
