No Dynapower driver when it gets tournament time. That's not a good thing for Wilson.

Agree.  Wilson press release a few weeks back said he'd be bagging 12 Wilson clubs.  I count 10.

They said he'd be playing the driver and it's absence is a big miss IMO for Wilson.  Then also looks like he ditched using the Wilson wedges they said he'd add.  Looks like word hasn't gotten to Team Wilson page yet -  https://www.wilson.com/en-us/node/111951

It's also interesting how his Staff CB's and MB's have a custom grind with no numbers on sole.  I noticed Trey Mullinax has a similar same grind on his Wilson irons in the WITB last week.

Biggest thing is he isn’t playing a Callaway driver. Tells you a lot about their product. Is there anyone not under contract playing their driver. Don’t think so. Ping, Titleist, TM all see non staffer in their drivers.

I think someone reported 9 non-staffer Callaway drivers at the Farmers last week on another site.  Definitely not at the top of the list but not awful.

The paradym already has like 4 tour wins since it launched under its belt.  More than any other driver in that time frame.  Tells you a lot about their product.

Like others, I was expecting to see the Dynapower Driver and Staff Wedges. Somewhat disappointing to be sure.

But, that Dynapower 3w does look pretty nice.

Perfect argument from a Callaway fanboy. Look I have the UW and an Odyssey putter in the bag. I'm not against their products I just know they can't make a driver that non-staffers want to put in the bag. Compared to other manufacturers they lag wayyyy behind in this area. Even their tour staff don't like their stock drivers much. its why they have to have 6-8 variations on the conforming list. Titleist staffers and non staffers play their off the rack drivers CT tested and spec'd out. Same for TM and Ping. Kisner is a perfect example of this. First of all when he was on staff he stuck with an old GBB forever. Then as soon as he leaves he drops their drivers and goes for Ping or Titleist. He still has other Callaway clubs in the bag too so those are something he's comfortable with and perform. Can't say the same about their drivers.

It tells you that callaway pay some really good players to use it who happen to have won? absolutely ground breaking.

Literally not a Callaway wood in my bag.  Hasn't been for quite a while.  So I am not sure how I would be a "fanboy" - But have a good day man.

I don't see this as a big hit for Wilson. Kisner, in the past, was never one to switch equipment out frequently. Last year, he was swapping driver shafts out every tournament and trying out new gear. He's searching for something. And when Tour pros are searching for something, it typically never makes any OEM look good. Justin Rose won his first tourney with Honma clubs, then started his massive search. Rickie has been on a search as well. It's just something these OEMs have to "hang on" and provide support to their players.

Another Wilson driver effort that is dead on arrival?

I’ll try it regardless but definitely got the price point wrong I believe, especially if they want more of the market. I’ve had some great success with their drivers in the past, especially the d100 and FG Tour f5 series.
