Personalities and rival tours aside, I am digging this set up.  Very nice.

Agree that is a solid set up for sure...

very cool! I love seeing how the pro's are picking their equipment as free agents.... Seems like ping is winner so far.

I agree. Justin Rose's bag is another to keep an eye on. Winning with Cobra irons was pretty cool.

Ping does seem like they have a winner with the G430.

The Black in the fairways with the weight pushed forward. Those suckers must be some low spin missile launchers.

Yeah I mean I played those shafts last year they are not to bad but I did it to keep launch and spin down..that problem tends to be across all your woods so that’s why I’m curious about this as the  Red TR should launch the ball higher and in theory with more spin

unless with driver he is maybe really hittting down on it? Just speculating at this point ( I know Trottie always said he use to be trappy with his fairway woods)

The interesting detail here is in the fact that he is in TR Red 7X in the driver and Black 7x in the fairway, because the Black 7x is actually quite a different profile from the 6x that most of the other guys are using. Based on the S3 data that was shared here awhile ago i'd even say that the Black 7x is closer to the TR Red than it is the Black 6x. This was likely an intentional variation designed to get two different types of player into the OG Black with the 6x being a very stout, linear type of profile and the 7x being a little softer in the tip and more of a "Blueboard" type of handle, something that Sergio has long favored.

this is good to know.  I love the 6x in my driver and was thinking of going 7x/8x in my fw woods.  thank you.

Sergio has been measured to have one of the more downward AOA on driver among tour players so this setup sort of makes sense. Those are two pretty high spin high launch options from what he has previously played (stealth 10.5 at 8.5 degrees with Ventus Black). Maybe looking to spin it a bit more, pick up some MOI, and hit more fairways on LIV.

What would be the reason for this other then for optically to have more guys in the black?  What would be wrong with the the player that fits into the Black (Blueboard) 7x just fitting into another Ventus profile (blue, red, "purple") as long as it's still ventus?
