Shot my age again at 69

After shooting a 67 in Sept 2021 while 67 years of age, I just shot 69 today after turning 69 two weeks ago. It’s only the fourth time I ever broke 70, with the first being a 69 in 1972 on the same course as today.  I tried to shoot 68 last year but missed it by 3 shots. Hope it won’t be the last!

Congrats @memphishorn.  I too have accomplished that feat a few times.  Although it does get easier with each passing trip around the sun.  Here's to many more for you.

8 handicap shooting a 69? Sandbagger at any age!

One of my most humbling golf experiences was getting randomly paired with a 74 year old gentleman who shot his age that day. I was 19 or 20 at the time with all the arrogance that comes along with the age. My 300+ drives meant absolutely nothing when they were near OB and his 220 yarder was painted down the middle. I thankfully learned a lot in that one round if golf.

He missed his putt on 18 for a 67 which would have been his age.

Congrats. I came within 2 strokes last week. Shot 70 at age 68.  Hopefully I can get there soon.

I shot 66 once, damn,  I was only 60.  
I beat may age last season, 5700 yds, 70, at 71.  Does that count?

Turn 69 Sunday. I had a 74 last summer. It's a goal I'll get come hell or high water.
