kinda wish they had rolled the 150 top line like the 100, but the 150 still looks really good. it will be a battle between the king tours and the 150 for my next set.

i play 44pw/50/56/60 so very similar. ill never understand why people think they need more than 3 wedges other than to try to be like their favorite pro that carries a specific wedge for a specific course. unless they truly just cant figure out how to control wedge distance, but even then, adding an extra wedge isnt gonna fix that issue....i rarely use the 60 outside those 60-80yd shots where it would be taking too much spin off a 56, or chipping on some tough slopes around a green.

Once you learn partial shot with one wedge they all become easy and you will never hit a full wedge again.

Exactly. I rarely take a full, hard swing with a wedge, and often not with a 9 either. I’d much rather have to take something off a wedge, then try to manipulate my distances on the other end of the bag.

Yes!!!  I can't even remember the last time I made a full swing with my 54 or 60* wedges.  The majority of shots using those two wedges are partial swings.  My gap wedge is the only wedge I will take a full swing with so I match it up to my PW with the same shaft and length.

I think all of you have misunderstood what I said. I never take a full swing with a wedge, but I have my stock yardages set with 75% and 50% swings with 4 degrees difference in wedges. Personally, I am not going to buy a set of clubs that forces me to have 6 degrees difference in my scoring clubs and have to relearn distances and a whole new set of gap yardages. I have been playing too long to add that variable. I will stick with what I know instead of getting a set with a 44* PW. No one is wrong here. We all have choices and each can make their own for their game.

Why haven’t the 2021 T100 and T100S, and now neither the new T100 nor the T150, the preworn leading edge, when the 2019 T100’s had it and the current CB’s and MB’s have it? Even so the next generation of MB’s as far as I can see. What is the reasoning behind it, you think?

like I previously wrote I weakened the lofts by 2 degrees on my T100s and now it has zero offset.

I am pretty sure it has to do with the redesigned sole on the 21’ t100/t100s. There is less bounce in the heel and more bounce in the toe, and I think some tweaks to the shape of the sole. I really love the way the 21’ t100 gets through the turf, in and out nice and quick with no digging. I believe that is why titleist did not do a pre worn leading edge with those.

I think the T150 is going to be a massive hit.

Releasing a slightly bigger and hopefully more forgiving version of the T100 is going to appeal to a lot of players.

 

I never really understood the T100s. If you are good enough to play the T100, then why do you need the extra distance from the lower loft? For me, that just creates a bigger gapping issue between PW and GAP wedge.

 

I guess the T150 will probably be a stronger loft than the T100, but at least you get a little more forgivness there, and the option to bend to increase loft.

I still don’t quite get it. Did the T100 get smaller or T150 get bigger than T100s? It kinda seems like both to me?! The T100 looks sleeker than the 2021 on the pics.

T100 look nice.  But not gonna replace my 2019 T100s.  The 2021 are a little harsher and the leading edge is too sharp.   And the new T150 looks like a shovel.  If I had to choose a new set I'd probably go MBs and live with the misses.   Just IMO.

I always thought the T100s had more forgiving face with the slot. Yes the T150 is going to be a hit for sure.

I did the same. I had T100 initially, but did some back to back launch monitor testing on grass with T100S bent weak to match the T100 and the T100s won out. I basically needed a smidge less offset and smidge more bounce. We also saw virtually no ballspeed or spin difference once loft matched even with the slotted T100S long irons.

I'm actually hoping the T150 is just a change in naming. I don't really see the difference in size from these pics. For instance, in the third pic the T150 looks wider but the angle is completely different. I also highly doubt the topline is different. I think that pic is just another photo angle difference.

IMO, Titleist is trying to better differentiate their line from a marketing perspective rather than make any real technical changes. For many consumers the T100 and T100S was confusing. Of course, if the T100 and T150 are nearly identical outside of the lofts and milled channel, the new nomenclature might be just as confusing. Ultimately, I think it will lead to more sales though. The market for people that want as much forgiveness and distance as possible while looking and feeling like a tour iron is big.

Ultimately, Titleist, with the 2021 T100, pulled off the trick every company hasn't been trying for decades. I've played blades for 30 years and the t100 is the first iron I've played where I don't miss the blade. They retained the shape, the feel is 95pct there and the performance is nuts. The 223 is close, but the chromoly long irons are too juicy and the feel isn't great.

I expect that the new T100 and T150 will be nearly indistinguishable in play. Titleist knows better than to mess with something so good.

I'm not a fan of going to 5 degrees between my 8 and 9, and then 9 and PW.  Those are supposed to be scoring clubs,, I don't want too much a gap in the bottom of the bag.

Exactly what I did, knew I was going with the 100S so filled the bag with 48-54-58 wedges. The gapping is perfect for me!

Rolled with 50 - 54 - 58 with my T100s had a hard time finding a 48degree. I use the T22 wedges with this set 

Didnt want to put a cast volkey in the mix of the forged setup

Yeah I used the set 100S gap wedge and then 54 and 58 in SM9s. I dont use my gap wedge for anything other than full swings to a number lower than my pitching wedge, so no point in a vokey for that.

The longer irons is where the t100-s differs from t100. Has the micro slot in 3-7 irons, and a little bit more tungsten overall (more weight out towards the toe i believe), 8iron - pitching wedge is same 1 piece forged head just with the 2* difference in loft. The overall cg is slightly lower on the t100-s as well.

I am not in love with my i230’s.  The T150 certainly has my attention even though I have never played a Titleist iron.  Looking forward to the test.
