Just like the BPS looks great in the range bag but looks entirely different when facing the 195 yard carry over water.

Yeah, they might be the best feeling club I've hit, but they really humbling me a lot.

To be fair……., if you have calibrated your drinking appropriately, you should have the same irrational confidence to hit the 200 yard iron shot as you would talking to the beautiful woman at the bar….. in both cases I generally just embarrassed myself. 😁

Just got fit for Blueprint S yesterday. Was a tough choice between them and Titleist T150, numbers were incredibly similar, but ultimately the Pings won out on looks and feel. Went with 5-PW Power Spec and DG120 X100. Cant wait for them to come in!

Just came from a full bag fitting and hit the Blueprint S. wow! What an amazing iron Ping have on their hands. For me it came down to three irons, these the PXG ST blade and the Miura KM 700 irons. It was tough to pick a winner but the slight edge went to Miura for my preference in toe shape.

Very similar distance with power spec vs the T150. T150 actually launched a touch higher and spun 100-200 rpm more for me. I only had 1 shot with BPS that was over 7000 rpm and it was a swing where I left the face wide open. The rest were consistently in the 6500-6600 rpm range. BPS look SLIGHTLY smaller and thinner, but T150 still look great.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm waiting on my set with the same shafts, and the 5 iron shaft is backordered. Waiting for them to come in soon, so here's to hoping it's this week for both of our sakes.

Anybody get a set with Modus 105? I am torn which shafts to go for. Currently gaming S400 AMT White but fancy something lighter. Might go 105X

Just got mine in with 105S but haven't gotten them out yet. Chipping in the backyard feels great haha. Will report back

If they were overly hot tour players wouldn't bag them, might just be a proper setup for you vs other irons.

I looked at my averages on trackman with a 7 iron and it was like 209 total on average. I had a few flyers at 220.

Interesting, I know pros if they get a lot of fliers in a set of irons they won't even touch them except for maybe like a 3 or 4i.

I got mine (4-7 BPS, 8-PW BPT) with the Modus3 105 xflex shafts, and so far so good. I am coming from the og blueprints with c-taper lite 110S shafts (a shaft I've play for awhile now), and I am very happy. Have 7 rounds on them already, and they have been a joy to hit.

That's why I was really thrown off by the blueprints. I really don't even want to mess with the T's.

 

But I was consistently in the 130 ballspeeds with the 7 iron even if I felt like I miss hit it a bit.

For what it's worth I ordered a set of i230's the first week of November with Recoil Dart 75's and just got the seven iron a couple of weeks ago.

 

Ping said that all the seven iron shafts had been used to fill fitting carts which seems ridiculous since every company I know of uses seven irons for fitting so you'd think they would order enough extras but apparently not.

 

Not sure why they would run out of five iron shafts though.

That’s annoying. Hopefully they get things sorted out soon. We’re expecting a foot of snow tomorrow, so I guess I can be patient for a bit haha

Interested in the retro spec BPS. Does anyone know if it’s the standard head bent weak? Or is it actually a different head to maintain the same bounce?

I am thinking about ordering some BPS but the shaft options aren't great (the prices in Australia for non-stock shafts in Australia are ridiculous!)

I changed mine to Modus 105x because I'm impatient.

Had mine built the other night (4i-7i i230 and 8i-PW BPS) with BB&F ferrules and some Axiom 125X shafts. No issues with the build..Just like i230 there are some “tricks” to get BPS to work right with BB&F but there are plenty of other posts about Ping irons and BB&F. No tip weights. Swing weight came in ~D2

Yeah I've had to change shafts twice now due to backorder issues. They seem to be having issues with a number of extra stiff shafts.
