Angles may be influencing the look but is the BOT1 with the top crown seam look smaller than the BOT3 on the right?  The back weights also appear to be different with the BOT 1 having a seam vs the BOT3.

Perhaps a 430cc vs 460cc.....this write-up seems to think the same idea......

The most glaring difference between the standard and the TOUR-1 model is the position of the weights. The TOUR-1 still offers a 3-weight system, but in this version, the heel and to weights are placed more centrally, while the rear weight is posited behind the pulled down section of the sole.

To me, this suggests a more forward center of gravity design, which presumably offers lower spin albeit with lower MOI.

While the USGA’s photos are anything but conclusive (scale is always a challenge), the could suggest a driver that is a bit more compact front-to-back- than the others.

The current 0311 lineup doesn’t offer anything that would challenge the lowest spinning drivers on the market, so there is room in the PXG lineup.

-Also wondering why not call these Black Ops Tour Drivers 0317 instead of 0311 which would fit for the Players segment of PXG clubs?

I see your point, but guess one can argue that similar heads in the low spinning and compact category aren’t just reserved/targeted for “player” or “tour” type categories. On the flip side larger heads with max forgiveness, high MOI aren’t just reserved/targeted to inconsistent or moderate swing ball strikers. Using TSR line for example; many tour pros are using the bigger and higher MOI TSR2. Mid handicappers or inconsistent ball strikers who need to drop spin, are fitted into TSR3s. Thinking since the 0317 naming convention in the irons are specifically targeting “players” or “better players” category. PXG (in terms of both marketing and target players), didn’t want to throw the 0317 label and scare off the non-players categories or put them in the 0311 box IMO.

My personal preference, now that they have a distinction in the iron category of 0317 vs. 0311 player, is to just remove 0311 from the metal woods and hybrid line. Maybe just call it something else with a “LS” designation or number/alpha indicated that indicates it’s an LS vs. higher MOI/forgiveness model.

Since they are calling the new drivers Black Ops "TOUR" seems sufficient reason to move them to the 0317 line instead of keeping them as 0311 Drivers.  The standard Black Ops could remain as the 0311 line Driver.

Maybe so to their 2011 model but please don't compare PXG to Ryoma  at least no to the Maxima Type V or Type D.

Try the new PXG drivers.  They’re hands down the best.  Black Ops can’t launch soon enough so I can throw my Paradym in my fire pit

Prove it!  Want to see this fire pit of yours.

PXG is going to come out with a new driver next year.  Are you going to throw the Black Ops in the fire pit when that comes out?

Gen 6 0311 XF i put against my current Paradym at my local PXG store.  Key take aways which surprised me was dispersion.  Distance was almost on par to where I am now with Callaway averaging 270-280.   PXG was clearly tighter for me.  Same exact shaft as well in both.  Sound and feel very good.   My PXG rep said hold off for now.  Black Ops coming and already it’s being called their best to date.  I believe early 2024 launch.  Worst case scenario, I pay full price on Black Ops but get a driver I absolutely love over my Paradym or, I buy Gen 6 at a discounted price.  Win win.

@hammergolf Do you still have the photo attached to this post of yours w.r.t. the Adams 2008 driver with the weight Low & Back, that inspired Taylormade's "Inertia Generator"?
(i.e. from this 13 Jan 2022 post ... somehow it's just showing as a broken Link ... see screenshot #1).

...e.g. might be as easy as viewing "My Attachments" in your Golfwrx profile

(see screenshot #2 ... Top-Right of your GolfWrx forums page, via dropdown menu, there's a "My Attachments" button).

yes it's a google chrome extension called "Dark Reader" & it's fabulous.

Here's the Link (usual caveat i.e. "do your own due-diligence" before downloading).
