A previous post mentioned this product line will super premium so that means expensive. So who will carry this stuff? Not Dicks's, PGA superstore. Are they going to go after Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom customers. Maybe high dollar exclusive resorts. I don't see how this will work. They signed Tiger that's expensive so you have to move a lot of product to cover that cost. Do older golfers visiting Pebble Beach want to buy a bunch of Tiger gear?

I think they said that initially, it will be through their website only for purchase.  
 

They also mentioned last night that this is not an endorsement deal and it is a partnership with TW.  I’m assuming TW has ownership here as well🤷

I can't stand shirts with the logo in the middle of the chest. The clothes themselves look premium but the logo placements and size does not

This feels rushed, corporate, and like the team @ Taylormade was thinking inside a very narrow "shareholder value" frame of mind when they did this from the logo to the market research - and where their decisions ended up. Parts of it - like the launch party - feel like they spent more time on that than the actual product(s).

 

The very off-white-esq styling here paired with the odd logo and what I said above from the outside looking in feels like theyre putting a square peg through a round hole. Like they didnt really have the time to get feedback from anyone outside the team and IP holders before the public release. Tiger has had a swath of styles since his debut as a teen, but none of this feels like him and his persona at all. 

 

Maybe itll get better, but....the carbon face'd drivers havent, either.

 

The thing that gets me is Tiger has always wanted to be "everyman". He never was about being fancy off the course. He wore shorts, running shoes, hoodies. That's his personal style, more laid back and what a normal person would wear away from work. Keep in mind he never grew up rich and acted that way in his personal life at least when it came to how he dressed. Now out of no where he is going to be the face of some richy rich super premium line of clothing? The guys wearing those clothes back in the 70's and 80's would have been the same guys who wanted to keep people that looked like him off the course. Now Tiger is going to be the one championing them. I get times have changed but man that sure seems like a bit of a cop out for a guy who really doesn't need the money

I don't get them chirping his pants so hard. Tiger had an iconic look that Nike cultivated for him... But it was also never a bleeding edge high fashion look, like Adam Scott might had have, or meticulously tailored, like Keith Mitchell. Tiger wore comically big stuff when baggy was in and not to tight stuff when tight stuff was in.  Why would they expect anything different now?

Lastly... People owned pieces from the TW line, but I didn't see many people out there in Tiger Outfits. People do dress like Justin Thomas or Sam Burns. So I am curious what appeal "dress exactly like Tiger" has? I feel like black and red for a golfer is like a hockey player wearing 99... ya don't do it.

When you have a big media event to announce the new line with a huge star like Tiger, you have to have your ducks in a row. The whole thing looks rushed and amateur. Gotta be better than this.

Let's be real, it will sell. Its Tiger Woods. His style has never been the short leg pant, tight around the ankle look ever. He plays what he's comfortable in. What I see, it will be very expensive. Looking at Taylormade's site right now and seeing they have a Hoodie for $208 is 1) crazy and 2) more then a golf club and 3) a sign that TW's gear is going to be ALOT! One thing I can't understand is how all these companies are selling all this golf gear for so much, when they are trying to grow the game and now there is a divide between LIV and PGA

The belt matches the shoes...at least he got that right.  it's not a horrible look for the times..

I don't hate the logo... it's just not Nike. Like... TW is on the Nike Mt.Rushmore? Just something that will always look off.

And Tiger say... going to Uniqlo and launching On golf footwear would have felt more professional?

 

Have to yet to see Brady brand, Great Ones (Jeter and Gretz), or anything like that do well? This is just MBAs knowing the margins in apparel are like the best in all of business, seeing TW as a major marketing platform, and not understanding consumer behavior...

TW buying Greyson, launching a shoe, and then signing TW... that would have been killer. Look at Callaway... Callaway apparel never caught on. They acquired TM and that's probably the 2nd biggest brand in golf apparel behind FJ?

The shoes are nice, but seem very similar to one of the recent Jordan shoe models that was released.  It's a new brand.  My guess is there will be a few hits and a lot of misses while they figure out their target market demographics.

Logo placement makes it look like that sweater is on backwards. Flip that around and it looks good imo.

Well I've already seen quite a bit Nike TW stuff at Marshalls and Nike Clearance Store
