Does any vendor have a 3 for 1 deal that isn't the personalized version? Need tp5x before a March 22 weekend trip.

I saw a four-dozen pack at PGA Tour SuperStore for 165 available for purchase. That's probably the best option.

Might be able to get the same online from PGATSS, GG, Carl's, etc.

Irons: Titleist T200 5-P

This year's TP5x is miles better than the '21 version.  I still have a box left.  With that being said, I've decided to go with the CTX which is Callaway's best ball by far.

I've done testing already and the increase in ball speed is eye popping.  We're talking 2-4 mph faster.  It's like a faster CSX LS with a little more spin.  My head pro, and bros @Avidswampthing66 and @ALIF have switched to the CTX as well.  I definitely recommend picking up a box.  That's not to say that the '24 TP5x is a mediocre ball though.  It's miles better than the previous gen however.

I just received my test pack and am curious to see how these compare to the 2021 TP5, the last TP I gamed.

CTX is an all rounder' with speed.  Hard ball not to like a lot.  My second ball of choice would be TP5X or BX if I had to choose

Have any of y’all tried the TP5? I bought a dozen TP5X and think I just hit it too high for it to work for me - slightest breeze into me or soft conditions and that thing stops where it lands. But I love the durability!

This was my experience with TP5X...it ballooned into the wind a little.  Might be down to how I strike the ball tho.

TP5 was a huge surprise to me.  Faster than last model with better feel off irons and driver.  Hard not to like how you can bring flight down a bunch with irons yet still get good mid height with driver.

I really like this years TP5. I did not try the TP5x because I need help with spin so I can’t compare. Really soft for a tour ball. Performs very similar to a Prov1x for me with a little more spin around the greens.

did you try the new CT model where they dropped the "LS" from the name? Or you usually don't have enough spin anyways to try it?

The Chrome Tour?  I  haven't tested it yet but may at some point.  I'll ask my head pro for a sleeve since he's a Cally staffer.

These balls are not BETTER....they are just another ball.....what makes it better for golfers?  they are playing catch up in a major way to even brands like Calloway's new line which is gaining popularity but still miles away from Titleist.

If the TP5 line was $39 instead of $50, maybe more people would flock to it

Completely disagree. Hundreds of independent tests show the performance between almost all golf ball brands is minimal and nobody is “miles ahead” of another. However, your opinion may feel Titleist is superior but the data shows that’s not the case.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered already. I asked this in another thread, but i thought i'd try it here also. I'm a Pro V1 player and i'm looking for a ball that's very similar with more distance.

I’ve loved the last 2 generations of pro v1, compared the new tp5 against the 23 v1 and the tp5 was a club longer with irons and felt better imo. Was very windy today and visually the wind didn’t affect it as much as I thought it would

We are talking market share and popularity.....so yes, TM has a LOOOOONG way to go......but even quality lags behind Titleist......performance is another area that it lags but for most amateurs, you are right....most balls are close to one another

What performance aspect is the current TM lineup lagging behind the ProV1?

Edit to add: There is no denying Titleist's dominance in the golf ball space.  Everyone lags behind them.

For me personally the TP balls performed better than the Titleist balls in the testing that I did. But none of them performed as well as the new callaway balls did.

In your opinion, as far as performance, In what areas do TP5X and TP5 lag compared to Titleist?  I assume you've had a chance to test them both.  Distance, consistency or feel?  Or are you talking long term performance with durability?

Been reading through multiple threads and curious if anyone has seen any distance uptick with the TP5?   I've seen it mentioned with the 5X likely due to the launch/spin characteristics, but i'm cautious about losing greenside spin vs the standard TP5.

The new TP5 is definitely longer than the previous version. It still has plenty of spin around the greens but has a flatter flight and more distance through the bag.

I really didn’t like the ‘21 version, but the new TP5X is my ball for the year.

Firm feel, long, seems good in the wind, doesn’t fly too high or low, plenty of spin to stop on the greens. The cover seems durable enough. Checks all the boxes for me.

More testing to do, but my last outing I flew 3 greens with new TP5. I had no business hitting the ball that far with the selected iron. I am finding it to be longer with the irons for sure.
