I saw them in my local GG 2 weeks back - the 1st Edition box and thought they had been released.  If I would have known, I would have grabbed both (my son who plays in college played the X last year, and I played the TP5).

Ohhhh the new TP5X is good.  Real good.   They must have put fairy dust in one of the 5 layers, because it's an all around great golf ball.  I'm very picky when it comes to a golf ball and am genuinely stoked.  It's firm not clicky, low spinning (but not too low), high with the irons, good in the wind and plenty of good green side spin.  I played 18 holes today, and I switched out balls on hole 16.  It wasn't scuffed but worn a little.   It was able to hang with Chrome Tour during yesterday's driver testing.  CT is long so, there's that.

 

I was ball striking today.  I hit 16 out of 18 greens, and the ball did all things well.  What more would you want? 3 birds and two bogeys and the rest pars.  I had some good looks for birdie and just didn't capitalize on them.  71.  I'm not one to share my round often but, I'm stoked for 2024 season if we are starting out like this.  Tp5X will be a top contender for the bag.

I’ve been a pretty avid TP5 user the past couple of years. But times change. I’m ready to shake things up and see which one of these manages to give me the best numbers for my irons. 
 

For me, getting my irons into the 1k spin per number is ideal (7k 7i, 6k 6i, etc). If I dip down too low, I start not being able to trust my distances. 

Getting pounded by snow at the moment, so I’ll have to go off of a simulator for now.

It's like a vinyl record pressing.  There's the first edition pressings etc.  These are the first to be boxed up and shipped out

Got mine too!  Cant wait for the weather to get a little nicer here to do some testing.  I will say this, I really like the way the TP5 feels off my putter right now🥰

Yes they are.  However, TM has made 5 layer balls before.  Think Penta TP.  Absolutely loved those and bought 20 boxes way back in the day.
