Pretty much:

address/grip/ball position feels off…….go ahead and swing anyways….turn was flat and inside….keep going….oh crap that’s way too long a backswing…can’t stop now…..transition was waaay too quick….adjust on the fly…geez, I’m getting ahead of it again….FORE! 🥲

Curl (palmar flex) my right wrist the entire backswing, then send the back of the clubhead toward the ground behind my right foot as hard as I can.

Get to left side with hip rotation just before downswing.  Make sure grip pressure isn't too tight or loose.  @MonteScheinblum added a good one in that I need to be aware that my right knee needs to straighten out a bit as well at the top of my swing which has helped my ball striking quite a bit so big shout out to him.

Based on some info from Elite Golf Schools, whose content I believe is excellent, my current feels are about three things:

1) Club COM vs. hub (hand) path - keep the COM outside in the backswing, switch it under in transition. Think Matthew Wolff, but not that extreme.

2) Wrist action - they call it the "infinity loop" or something like that, but it's basically: radial deviation first in the backswing, then trail wrist extension in transition, then trail wrist supination. In practice it's hard to tease apart the overlap of when these happen, but I can do the example feel they give and it makes sense. Note that their definition of "transition" is P3 - P5, so a longer period than most think of it. The early RD helps with #1 or keeping the COM outside the hub on the way back.

3) Upper lead arm (humerus) internal rotation in transition. This one made no sense to me at all, as I would have guessed it would leave the face wide open, but it is working so far. Maybe it's because in combination with trail wrist extension the face can stay more "on plane", if that makes sense.

After having not broken 80 in months, I've gone 79-78 my last two rounds, with no double bogeys or worse (7 index). This is super progress for me and makes me want to continue.

I spent a year getting my backswing more upright. (Picture Spieths pre shot routine from a year ago only uglier) My head was full of that part and I could not process the 2nd half of that equation. I am only allowed 1 swing thought.

Now that muscle memory has my backswing where I want it (for now… it will change) my only thought is: look at the spot where I want the club and ball to meet. And that’s around 4:30….when I remember to do it and don’t just blank out.

The back of the clubhead.

I'm not even sure how I could send the clubface behind my right foot…?

My brain would have a melt down on the course if I had all that going in my head so bravo to you for being able to process all that and break 80.

I feel like I’m running naked through the Super Bowl and that trumps any embarrassment the next shot might cause me.

Keep your head dead still from takeaway to ball contact like Rory. That mostly fixes everything in my swing. Often times I don’t take my pill and I forget LOL.

Go through the ball with arms and body, don’t be lazy is my motion motto.

Everything old style, but hey, I’m slowly becoming old style.

Just trying to understand what you are trying to accomplish. I would assume that you were starting to close the club face but you are trying to keep the club face pointing to the sky then?

I tended to palmar flex a bit too early, and steepen the shaft a bit too early. So, I have more success getting the COG under the hand path slightly.

"Unfold the trail arm down the trail side (yo-yo action). Hit the ball with my hands in front of my trail thigh."

Sometimes I need to throw a little "turn the door knob" in on the down swing.

Basically AMG blender drill + NTC

Keeps my trail arm from getting too narrow or stuck behind me. Forces better rotation. It got rid of my shanks... I'm a little toey now.

Dont move head

bring arms up and back

Left arm straight

Touch left deltoid(shoulder) to my chin

tuck right elbow in

in to out swing

dont move head (again)

turn hips in the same space and dont sway forward

Straighten left leg

dont move feet (dont jump)

Keep head down through swing

I suck.

Its okay I never do all of them at the same time so I just focus on like 2-3 that I'm doing bad at any given time.

At the present time, I'm really focused on where my sternum is pointing at impact.

A focus on that position seems to help my hips move in more beneficial ways.

My logic and experience...

I've been working on P1 through P4 forever. P5 and P6 happen way too quick to focus on.

P7 gives me a target body position to achieve.

At least presently, if I work to achieve P7, P5 and P6 seem to work themselves out.
