$90 "training t-shirts", $175 camo polos. A $50 ball marker that looks like a single stamp. I mean my club has some high prices in the pro shop but geez.

 

Even worse, Tiger had press events not once but *twice* this week for the launch where he was wearing something I would have bought - that isnt even for sale.

 

I dont think this could have gone worse if he tried.

 

BUT - my guess is they are probably selling just fine.

I am not the target audience for this line, but the rollout strategy being employed by having your key marketing officer (Tiger) showcasing gear that isn't available at launch is simply mind boggling. I understand tiered launches, and wanting to control product launch velocity, but in an era where visual social media drives everything, the customer disappointment has to be palpable.

Because yesterday was Saturday so I assume there may had been an accidental early release. Or they did it to get folks talking.  A few made it onto eBay.
