- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

Golf is what you make of it.  Play grateful and accepting. We are all lucky to have it.

Rather than expecting lets all try and appreciate instead.
Treat people the way you want to be treated

seems like a very boring release.....the pros who were interviewed called it "PLUG and PLAY" and "the same club just more muted".....followed by statements like "I FELT i got 2-3 more MPH".....

IMO this release is nice but far from overwhelming.....i just dont like the fact they ripped off the old Mizuno line with the GT badging.....

Seems like a solid release for Titleist. The shaping and looks at address are perfect, unless you prefer matte. And they claim to have made some improvements to sound and stability. Not much else you can do with a new driver release these days. The tech is maxed out.

Such a minority opinion.  But thats no Shocker as you never like anything Titleist does.

I don’t get why you or anyone else expected drastic physical changes.  Thsts not what Titleist does. It doesn’t chase wild color or naming schemes.

They have had the Number 1 driver on Tour for over 5 years running and constantly here from their playijg staff….don’t mess it uo with big changes.

Also worth pointing out that the rules are set and have been reached a long time ago by manufactures. The clubs are maxed out of the sweet spot. Now, you might see slight improvements on mishits, but these show up over a season, not in a single range session.

Agreed, these mfrs are eeking out fractional improvements each development cycle.  If there's a tangible improvement without sacrificing anything else (specifically shape, feel, etc.), that's a big win.

With the TSR driver line-up they were touting the different faces between TSR2/4 and the TSR3.  Curious if they still do that approach or if .....

To each their own. What you say is a negative I see a definite positive. Making one of the most popular drives just a little bit better without taking away what so many golfers love.

Also Mizuno doesn't own the letters...

I have a TSR2 and love it.. but wanted to see what the pros "actual data" is showing.. So I just checked Titleist pros and did the https://datagolf.com Interesting if you haven't looked at the data..

Just wanted to see everyone's thoughts.. Seems overall the GT2 is right in stating its "Longer".. but the GT2 data shows its also less accurate..

Curious. Admittedly not a data/numbers “nerd” and didn’t look at ur link. But am I correct in assuming you are comparing tons of data vs. one week???

Ya.. this Datagolf app lets you see in aggregate WoW (Week over Week).. to see if it is really improving or not.. data is data.. 🙂

Can’t argue with that! 🤓

It's just interesting.. that's why I wanted to verify from past driving vs.. when they made the cut over.. did it really improve? Some I believe so.. I think Billy Hors saw an increase of distance (like he stated off the heal hits).. however it came at a sacrifice of accuracy.. It will be interesting to see the next few weeks as all the pros now will have took the new GT drivers home, practice with them a bit more, etc..

Wonder what the data will show again (Past driver vs new driver and where they cut over)

Not all data is sufficient to draw conclusions from. This data is made up of just 2 drives per round. If you look at the week to week fluctuations before memorial (i.e. when the same exact driver was being played) the WoW changes are significant and all over the place. WoW is just too small of a sample size to draw any relevant conclusions when only 2 drives per round are used. It’s just noise at that granular of a level.

my expectation based on comments from jonathan wall (fully equipped pod) and videos with initial feedback from tour pros is that a (relatively) high spin miss (touch low in the face is my miss today with tsr3) spins quite a bit less than tsr3. that is worth comparing to my gamer when the heads find their way to fitters.

Small sample size, and the fact they’re playing a more difficult than average course this weekend don’t be meaning much.

Oh I Get it.. This is what I do for a living.. analyze data.. lol.. Just interesting.. If you see the post above, I called out that it will be interesting to see the next events leading up to the launch what the data says.

Any verification that the GT4 will be 435cc like TSR4?

No sure on the exact cc’s yet, but it is definitely smaller than the 2 and 3.

I’m curious how the spin numbers will compare between the 3 and 4. Now that the weight is moved to the front of the 3.

Thats my point.....the tech is maxed, the shape is classic titleist....best shaped drivers in the industry IMO, and the only thing you have is SOUND? imma pass......i wish they would do something with the glare...maybe not a full matte finish but something

$700 for the same driver with the letters GT???   And imagine if another company came out with the Mizuno TSR?? but the letters stood for Total Sound Response....or whatever.....its stupid
