Every time I go to a local thrft store I always take a look at the random golf clubs there. I am always hoping some poor granny donated her husbands new clubs that she didnt know about! I know my girlfriend would probably donate mine if I died..she thinks I got them all at unbelievable deals! Post your thrift store finds.....

Of all the dumb topics being created these days, you are gonna complain about him starting this one and not posting his own find? Where did you come up with that criteria? You didn't even post one!

 

Just to appease you, I picked up a set of Tommy Armour V-25 forged blades for $25. Still wish I had them but think I sold them for about $100.

 

Usually when someone starts a topic like this it goes........I was at the thrift store the other day and found a killer deal on (insert noun). Post your best deals from a thrift store. Something to that effect.

 

Its a good topic.....good thread....if you aren't in agreement with it,find one more to your tastes.This is a big site...plenty of stuff for everyone. Enjoy it !

Today's Goodwill haul.

 

Nicklaus Linear Dynamics N1. 2-PW in great condition plus the 14.5* and 16* Nicklaus AirBear 3 woods (left driver there as was dinged). Nearly new black GolfPride Tour Wrap grips. I may game the 14.5*, badass chrome top with no alignment lines in perfect condition. Not sure if i'll keep the irons though...have enough stuff. Might try to resell them.

 

 

Out the door for $21 on half price Tuesday. Anyone ever owned these or know more about them?

 

 

 

 

 

 

I know I have an N1 1 iron with a graphite shaft banded NS36224 that would look good with your set!

i had those irons when they were new. Came out around the mid 90's. Jacks first release when he bought tony Penna golf and named it Nicklaus. Great set of sticks. Similar to the TA 845's in my opinion.

Yeah a few sold a couple weeks prior for what you mentioned now there is maybe 1 floating on ebay and 2 on iron finder =/. I think im just gonna resell them with the missing iron

Yeah, I'd look at it as a fun quest. Check Craigslist, ebay, etc. I'm sure you could find one in a month.

Hit the Goodwill today, another 'golf picker' was already there and had just grabbed a couple of Tour Striker training clubs, DANG!

 

Found this cool, retro headcover. I'm going to put it on my 3-hybrid. $1.49 (1/2 price color this week).

Great find initially. Took me 1/2 a year to find a VIP 7 iron at a reasonable price. Patience will pay off. If you do bend a 6 I believe you remove offset (not that there is much) and add bounce.

 

I'll add, I carried the VIPs (sans 7 iron) and didn't really notice the missing club. I'd have to get creative at times with an 8 or 6 iron, but that isn't all bad either.

i think those were all cast clubs. Check eBay for prices. Also make sure on shafts. I personally wouldn't bother with them but for $16 it might be worth it just to see how you hit them.

There's a MP-32 7 iron (head only) on eBay right now for $25 free shipping, with the Best Offer option. I'd bet you could offer about $15 shipped and complete your set. Then find somebody to throw a cheap shaft/grip in it and you're good.
