i have the '15 TWs and have borrowed a friends pair of boosts...the tw's are incredible for me...but the boosts felt like walking on a cushioned cloud all day. i've never tried the pumas, hyperflex.

Don't let this board pick for you. Go try them all on and see what fits best. Everybody's feet are different. The seemingly best shoe is worthless if it doesn't fit your foot right. But since you asked, my favorite shoe for walking right now is the Ecco Biom Hybrid 2...because it fits my feet the best. I have more expensive shoes that I like less because they rub my feet the wrong way.

Voting for other. True linkswear or New Balance.

I currently own FJ Icons and thought they were the ultimate shoe but for walking I much prefer the 2 other brands. My feet at Bandon were loving my True Gents. The FJ Icons were causing blisters after 1 round at Pacific Dunes. I rencently picked up some NB shoes and am blown away for comfort and lightness.

Everyone says to get fit for your clubs. Get for for your feet too. I'm not talking about going to Payless and having them use their metal foot measuring thing (although that's a start). Go to a place that specializes in running shoes and get your feet measured for athletic shoes. They can tell you what you need and maybe suggest insoles to aid comfort. I was surprised. I was wearing shoes that were a size too small. Sometimes up to a size and a half depending on the brand and the fit. It has made a huge difference in how I choose shoes. My feet still feel good after a round.

Ashworth Cardiff Spikeless. Kinda ugly but very comfortable. I also wear Nike LC3's and Adidas Tour 360's but usually when I'm riding.
Ruling out Ecco as a potential front runner is a little quick to the trigger for me. If you don't like the looks, or would prefer to work within a cost bracket - no problem I hear you. But if you're looking for a tool to walk and play golf in, Biom Hybrids etc are ace.
I've been using Footjoy Dryjoy's for years. Numerous pairs. From the box to the course walking 18 and never once any foot pain attributable to the shoes. I believe they use an EVA footbed which is soft and conforms to your feet. They are not the most durable shoes I've ever used but they hold up well enough.

I'm going to pick up some Ecco's as soon as the right deal comes along because so many people rave. There are lots of good choices these days in quality shoes.

Can someone tell me the largest size of the Ecco's. Golfsmith says they carry 48, but Ecco's website says 47. I have a size 15 shoe, so anything smaller than a 48 is too small. Have the original True Sensei in 15, but the 2014 styles run too small. Anyone have any ideas for my larger feet in walking shoes? The one I am leaning towards us the TW15.

 • 4 weeks later...

I just started walking, (9 hole max thus far). I've had heel pain in my right foot, dry callus I'm treating . I walked in FootJoy Contour Series. LOVE the BOA closure and wished they had more off-the-shelf color options with BOA!!!! If shoes loosen give a click or release to reset your sock/foot. I never once thought about my feet and realized that after the round. Isn't that what you want with a shoe? I'm very interested in the ADIDAS Boost. I think the heel cushion will help with shock absorption. FYI, New Balance makes great footwear. ALL their footbeds are removable, Hence you can use your own custom orthotics or off the shelf cushion insoles. They also come in WIDTHS, so you can more properly fit a variety off foot shapes, CORRECTLY! Go to a bigger/better local mall or shoe store and get fit properly. IF THE SHOE IS MADE AROUND THE IDENTICAL SHOE LAST THEN IT WILL FIT THE SAME!. Cross reference the shoe last through the New Balance website. Golf shoes should fit like running, trail athletic shoes in the store.

I walked 4 rounds in 6 days in my powerboost and my Achilles was sore for about a week afterwards. Looking at running forums it seems I'm not alone with boost causing injury. The tight fit isn't good for blisters either.

No trouble with my hyperflex so far.

I'm an 11, but I get 11 wide in Adidas because they are narrow but even the wide are tight in the boosts.

I recently picked up some Skechers Go Pro shoes. I was looking for another brand, and had no intention of getting Skechers. They were more comfortable than any of the other shoes I tried. The top of the tounge is a bit firm, and requires some breaking in, but my feet feel good after walking. I also have some Adidas, Nike, and Footjoy, but they will soon be replaced.

The best shoe for walking is the one that fits you best when you try it on. I have learned over the years and probably thousands of dollars buying shoes without trying them on is at best a crapshoot and likely a waste of money. And they have to feel good right away, if they feel tight or loose get something else.

I see Dryjoy Tours have been left off the list, I just got a set of these and first impressions walking round the house is that they're comfy, after initial break in and the foam has molded to my foot/leather has softened up I think they'll be nearly as good as the original 360 tours
I second the Dryjoy Tours. I have five pair that I have been rotating for the last couple years and they are very comfortable. They keep my feet dry and I don't slip.
