Last year, in an effort to improve the capability of our forums, we switched to new software. We expected tremendous scalability and rapid customization that would significantly improve each Member's experience across multiple devices and integrate flawlessly with social media platforms.

Unfortunately, after a significant capital expense, we have decided that the length of time and the additional cost to reach our goals make this enterprise untenable.

Thus, we have made the difficult decision to transition the forums to our original software platform. We’re excited that, in the nearly two years since we began the process of our most recent switch, our original platform has been upgraded significantly, and we are confident that the reversion will not only provide the stability that we desperately needed prior to our last move but will also return to the Membership the high level of customization that made our online community so great. We have also added technical resources to the GolfWRX staff that will allow us to build custom modules and modifications that we are confident will take the forums to the next level.

We remain the world's largest online golf community, and we still hold true to our core values and mission statement as written in 2005. Bearing both of those elements in mind, being the best and offering our Members a platform that is world-class are both requirements, not options, and it is that spirit that has motivated this decision.

So, please pardon our mess over the next five days or so while we transition the forums.

A few important notes: Current content will be accessible during that time, but the forums will be READ ONLY, and you will not be able to start new threads or reply to posts or PM's. We know this is inconvenient, and we apologize, and we greatly appreciate GolfWRXers bearing with us through the transition.

We are very excited about starting this next chapter for GolfWRX and getting back to the high-quality Member experience we all expect as soon as possible.

Baffler F6 that good?

Love mine. Great out of any lie. It’s the Nike engage toe sweep of fairways. Just thump it behind the ball and you can get out of anything. Nearly impossible to hit fat.

Simply, yes. I have mine playing at 19* with a KK XM 70TX and it is basically cheating. Point and shoot with as close to a perfect ball flight as I can get. You won't be disappointed.

An absolutely great club... set at 18.5, it fills my yardage gap between 4i and 3w. I did swap out stock Matrix for an Aldila though. And I can use it from any lie, including off a tee, it’s that trustworthy for me!

Update-- Moved this to 17.5- Put my 22 degree KE-4 Tour back in the bag. Old faithful. I normally don't even put in my Cobra BioCell + #3-4, but do when playing a scramble and set it to 14.5. etc.. This really is a club that performs from nearly any lie and off the tee..

I find it sits way too shut at address , even when lofted all the way down to 16 degrees...and flight is SUPER high . Feels good off the face but it's a spinny high , over draw for me all day.

This was a fairly new addition for me. When it was cold, it was my 205yard club. Yesterday, playing a new course for the first time I had a 217 yard par 3 requiring 207 carry over water. My ball hit about 10 feet short of the flag and ended up just past the flag for easy birdie. I am finding it great to gap between my 4i and my 3 wood. Of course shaft is important for all of us and this was a club included in a trade that I had no real interest in, but the shaft is a perfect fit for me.. Now, no interest in moving it out of the bag.
    I love mine!

Has anyone tried two bafflers out? I remember reading somewhere someone was considering it, but i don't know the results. I am thinking one stock length at 19 as a hybrid replacement and the other maybe 1/2 or an inch longer at 16 as a 3 wood replacement. I hit this thing really well, so i think it may be redundant. I am wondering if anyone had results that would indicate it being a viable option?

Question for baffler users. I'm considering putting both my baffler and my Biocell+ 5-7w in the bag with basically same shaft length. One will be set at 16 and the other at 19. I can see reasons to put eac>

I briefly tried it. Set the 16 with weight forward (lower flight, more roll for tee shots), 19 with weight back (higher flight, more forgiving for approach shots). It didn't really work out for me. I ended up adjusting one to 16.5, then putting my 19* hybrid back in the bag.

I really wanted to make the baffler work, but I fight a hook and it just sat too closed for me, even cranked open. Crank it open too much and it doesnt gap well with the 3w. Probably better as a 3w replacement than a 5w/hybrid replacement for my case but I really like my 3w (m3 16.5HL). Ultimately went to standard 5w playing at 41.75" (also M3).

I'm playing an F7 hybrid and two high lofted fairway woods and love them. Very similar clubs to the Baffler since they have rails. I did install heavier than stock shafts though. Anyway, real winners.

F7 3 wood is the epitome. I wanted to like the F8 and F9 5 woods but, that new M5 Rocket is hands down the next fairway wood for me. I won't get rid of the F7 3 wood until the head breaks in half.

That was me. I played around with it on the range, but never actually gamed it. Mainly for the reason I hit irons better than woods.

Russ thanks for getting back to me. I may actually give it a go to see how it turns out. I hit woods these better than my long irons, so I this may work out. Also a short knocker, so woods are an important part of my getting around the course.

I also used 2 Baffler’s at one point. One was 16’ the other 19’. Both did a great job for me and I had both at shorter length than stock. I still have the 16’ in the bag and always will till it breaks. That club for me is automatic and I can get out of a lot of nasty rough or just smash it from the tee/fairway. Only real reason I got rid of the 19’ one is because honestly I wasn’t hitting it. So I’ve got a spot in my bag where I can put in a driving iron club or extra wedge depending on course.
I also have the F7 hybrid and it’s great too, i just can’t see any clubs helping me better than these two in these spots in my bag.

Baffler is a fitting name. I played this weekend with 2 guys that I know well, but don't play with often. My driver shaft broke on the 4th hole so it was a steady diet of the F6 Baffler off the tee the rest of the day. I listened to them argue for 3-4 holes about whether I was using a hybrid or a fairway wood before I finally explained to them that they were both right, lol. They were indeed very baffled.

I’m still loving mine. Replaced the nunchuck with a Motore Speeder 8.3 and playing it at 16* with the weight back. I might mess around with it at 16.5* for a little more launch off the deck.

The weight of the Nunchuk became too much towards the end of a really hot round of golf, and the lighter Speeder had made a big difference.

I almost bought a 2nd one to play at 19*, but my 19* Adams XTD Super Hybrid is such a reliable club. I can’t seem to find anything as good as it for that spot in the bag.

This is the best fwy for me since the K15. After watching Rick Shiels' older video, I was curious. The club is legit, so easy to hit.

Fairway woods have easily been the most fickle club in the bag for me through many years of playing. I was a diehard v steel guy for over a decade, but I digress. This is the best fairway wood ever made. Everyone should own one! I have more confidence from 200 yards than I do from 140 at this point with these monsters in the bag.

I got one for $90 shipped off eBay new and put a $70 used Kal’li (sp?) and it’s point and shoot. It’s 18.5, weight back, and it probably flies 235, I’ve certainly hit it further but it’s a 230/40 club. Chipping it is 215/220. Very versatile. It does “look left” and I generally like everything open-ish, I’ve gotten over it. When something is 242 yards away and it feels automatic you get over the small things. Face isn’t super hot or anything, to me, but the couple of jobs it has, it does very well.

Quite the opposite. I’ve found this club to be perfect off the deck. Fairways, first cut, thick rough, divots this thing does it all. I’ve hit some stellar punch shots with it as well. Off the tee you can probably do better, but I hit mine really solid off the tee mist of the time as well.

Tempted to try one...is the face quite deep, as I'd only use it from the tee?

Quite the opposite. I’ve found this club to be perfect off the deck. Fairways, first cut, thick rough, divots this thing does it all. I’ve hit some stellar punch shots with it as well. Off the tee you can probably do better, but I hit mine really solid off the tee mist of the time as well.

Thanks. I need a favour. Can you measure the face depth for me please?

My friend I measured around 1 3/8th inches deep in the center of the face.

    Thank you sir.

I just felt the need to bump this post because I love the Baffler so much. Clubs come and go, but this thing just stays right there in the bag all these years. I recently bought a slew of new clubs and debated switching to a hybrid or driving iron to fill the yardage gap of the ole F6 Baffler. It’s just so **** versatile I decided instead to hunt out a new head and get a different shaft. I put a Fuji Pro 2.0 TS in what was essentially a “NOS” head I got off eBay. She’s just such a joy to hit. Any lie, many yardages, high shot, low shot, doesn’t matter. That is all, just some love for an old friend of mine, the F6 Baffler.
