The only thing I don't like about early morning golf is the wet, fresh cut grass that sticks to everything. Other than that, the air is fresh, it's cool and quiet.

Playing dawn patrol golf is hands down the best. It’s quiet and peaceful and most of the time you’re not waiting for the group ahead of you. And with young kids and a family it’s not a day killer still have lots of time for family. Everybody wins

I play at 7 am every sat and sunday ...other dads ask me how do you sneak in 3 rounds go golf a week ...

I am done including a beer after with the boys and home by like 11:15. Early morning is the best (just don't tell the others)

    Bonus no spike marks

My very early morning rounds are vacation rounds. The day before I played two rounds, hit 2 to 4 brewpubs, went to my hotel, took a hot shower, and was likely asleep by 8:30 pm. So, no, getting up at 4:30 am is not too difficult, especially when I'm in the Mountain or Pacific time zones, and my body clock is ahead by an hour or two.

Ahhh yes, I took a day off before and played 2 rounds same day and did not have trouble sleeping at all.. just a different mode.

Thank you for sharing the pictures of the amazing courses you play.. it draws a pretty good map of places I would like to play for once my family gets a little settled.

Great as long you don't have frost or a heavy dew. But on the positives a clear course, pristine sand and no marks.

I am usually too excited anyways, so going to bed or late doesn’t matter, probably going to sleep the same.

I love early golf, but many times have to dodge the grounds crews getting everything ready for the day. Played this morning at 6:30 and had to wait for the crews to finish cutting and rolling the greens. Those that were not mowed were wet with morning dew and slower. Just a small challenge.

My group used to shoot for 10ish - but we've been doing super early lately and I'm all about it.

Teed off just past 7 this morning and it was great - second off for the day and finished in just under 4 hours. The group in front of us were insanely fast so we never waited on a single shot.

Imagine that you have no choice but to play in the early morning. The LPGA's morning wave practices under the lights.

Great pictures! Early morning golf is awesome. Quick rounds. Less crowded. And you finish in time to still have most of the day left.

My favorite time to play is 8am. Air is crisp, wind isn't blowing hard yet, not many marks on the greens, pace is usually faster. The list goes on..

I love playing early morning golf. The guy I usually play with will only play first thing in the morning because he works night shift. I didn't think I'd like it at first. I almost never want to play at any other time. You can literally watch the world wake up around when you play in the morning it's absolutely beautiful!

Since the nights are getting shorter in Scotland I have been teeing off and playing at 7.15 ish the last two Wednesdays. great playing 12 -15 holes and still get to work for 10.

You're a better man than I am hahahaha. Every time I get done with a round whether it is 9 or 18...I'm ready for a nap! I couldn't imagine playing a round and then going straight to work.
