8802 for me. I had an original Anser when I was younger and loved the Putter itself, it just didn't work great with my heavily arced stroke. I foolishly sold it for 40 quid back in the 90s, still regret that one.

I had an 8802 copy (the Yonex one) in the bag for 20 years after that however - I'd tried loads of putters trying to find one I liked, tried the Yonex for a laugh and couldn't miss, and the rest was history. If it wasn't for the chrome finish causing issues on a sunny day I may still be using it, but have moved to my Del Mar / Method 003 combo for now.

I still maintain that for fast greens there is no better Putter than an 8802.

Nice. I have the same Yonex ADX putter with a graphite shaft and it is excellent but blinding on bright sunny days. Now I use a Wilson Milled 8802.

8802 first, then the Anser2. Like both of those styles almost equally.

Putter that will probably be in bag to start the season, if it ever starts here, is the Viper Tour Sv1. It seems it has a higher MOI than the Scottsdale Anser. Which I find amazing.

I was all set to walk away with an 8802 a few weeks ago...until I tried it in person.. not for me! Feedback was great just couldn’t putt with it. Gotta be an anser style putter for me.

I own all but the 8802. Of the 3 I am familiar with, I have had the most success over the years with the Anser 2.

Actually I like all of them--- I have a lot of 8802 style putters mostly Ironmasters which BTW preceded the 8802 but no actual Wilson 8802s or 8813s. Right now I am front line gaming an old Anser with the speed slot or "Ping Slot" as we used to call them. back in the day I was not a big Bullseye fan but I guess I changed with age and now like them and have several

Of the 4 I have to say the 8802. When I look at it from the top I feel like it’s missing it’s hind quarters though, I had a #9 odyssey forever.

8802 style for me, though I prefer heel-shafted putters with more junk in the trunk, such as the TPA XVIII.
I don't get on with Anser-style putters. Like bodhi555, I think my stroke is too arced for them.
Bullseyes I like at address and feel I can make putts with them, but in fact I don't get on great with them on course.

Own 3 of the 4... missing the 8802.. have a couple of look-alikes but no real 8802....probably would say the anser (with the slot) is one I'd use most.. gaming a Karsten model at the moment... I have somewhere around 70 putters at the moment so what I'm using varies quite a bit....(wife just doesn't understand)....

Probably the Anser or Anser 2 as I already have an 8802 copy which just sits now.

Ask and you shall receive My Friend😉

Incredible stick and the inspiration for the Miura KM-008 as Miurasan had a Forged Ironmaster 600 present in his designing of the 008 much like Nakajima had a Hogan Personal 6i in his studio as he designed “his” 87’s, lolol

The Miura 008 is in the middle of pics with the 600 obviously being the dark stick and the VIP Forged TFP 90-1, an Icon in its own right & the third putter in the pics and these two Macs were in my rotation with “The Wilson 8802,” along with the Odyssey Black Series Tour #8, also pictured.

Most of these guys are clueless about Mac and it’s Legacy, both in clubs and putters, however these VIP Forged Collection Putters along with a few of Jack’s personal designs, the Jack Nicklaus George Low 600 and the JN Tourney Classic TCP2 being at the top of my list, and apologies as their pics are in my friggin cloud and I don’t know how to retrieve em however these putters are ALL as fine as ANY heel shafted putter design out there today.

I have 4 Napas, 3 of em T’s, 2 customs, and they have never left the practice green or the cedar closet, lol. The Ironmaster blew em away and so did the Mac 90-1 and I’d take my Ironmaster over my Miura 008 all day every day 7/365.

    Great call Shoelaces!!

    Keep em tied Brother😉

    My Best,
    RP

Like them all and rotate through most of my favourites although haven't used a bullseye for quite a while now. The Anser has the most cachet for me.
