Last year, in an effort to improve the capability of our forums, we switched to new software. We expected tremendous scalability and rapid customization that would significantly improve each Member's experience across multiple devices and integrate flawlessly with social media platforms.

Unfortunately, after a significant capital expense, we have decided that the length of time and the additional cost to reach our goals make this enterprise untenable.

Thus, we have made the difficult decision to transition the forums to our original software platform. We’re excited that, in the nearly two years since we began the process of our most recent switch, our original platform has been upgraded significantly, and we are confident that the reversion will not only provide the stability that we desperately needed prior to our last move but will also return to the Membership the high level of customization that made our online community so great. We have also added technical resources to the GolfWRX staff that will allow us to build custom modules and modifications that we are confident will take the forums to the next level.

We remain the world's largest online golf community, and we still hold true to our core values and mission statement as written in 2005. Bearing both of those elements in mind, being the best and offering our Members a platform that is world-class are both requirements, not options, and it is that spirit that has motivated this decision.

So, please pardon our mess over the next five days or so while we transition the forums.

A few important notes: Current content will be accessible during that time, but the forums will be READ ONLY, and you will not be able to start new threads or reply to posts. Personal Messaging is enabled but PMs sent/received from the time the board was frozen will not carry over. We know this is inconvenient, and we apologize, and we greatly appreciate GolfWRXers bearing with us through the transition.

We are very excited about starting this next chapter for GolfWRX and getting back to the high-quality Member experience we all expect as soon as possible.

What putter grip do you use?

Just wondering what make and model of grip people are using and why. I'm in a bit of dilemma and just want to see what others are using. I did have a Golf pride tour tradition but I'm gonna change it out. Don't know if I wanna go with another skinny grip or a 1.0 superstroke.

Im putting on an Iomic Midsize on soon when it comes in. Cant wait to use it. Ive used superstrokes for the past 2 seasons and I find that I am less consistent with them so im going back to a relatively skinny grip.

My standard putter grip is one they do not make any more so I stocked up on them. It is an old Royal Cord. If I run out of those I will use a standard Ping Man or the Lamkin version of it

PP58 Midsize is the best grip I've used. For me, it's the perfect combo of size, texture and feel.

I use your regular old Golf Pride pistol style with one wrap of tape. I have in the past and will again use a regular Pingman grip. Ive tried all the Super Strokes from the 1.0 to the 5.0 and have hated every one of them. I like the pistol style and will stick with that.

I recently tried the 1.0 after having the GP tour tradition grip on my Cleveland. I only used the 1.0 for 2 rounds. It was still too "midsize" for me.

I use a 1.0 and love it. It's just big enough to help keep my grip pressure light, but not so big that it takes my feel away.

I've always used the Studio Design but recently picked up a putter that had a Superstroke 3.0 on it and rolled 27 putts that round. The 3.0 seems a bit thick so I'm going to try a 2.0 now. I always hated on the superstrokes saying they were ugly and it was for people who couldn't putt <img src='http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> but hey, if it works who cares!? Superstroke is a bit of an acquired taste. I've come to like to 1.0. The 2.0 felt funny to me.

I got a ping man recently and forgot how skinny they are. To skinny for my taste.

I love the lamkin crossline. The gold pride midsize is also nice.

Finally, the new ping midsize discussed above is just about perfect in my opinion.

he cork trees look cool but the weight is half of a SS!! Didn't that throw your club all out of whack? I back weight my putters and would have to add 125g to the back end to equal my set up now

I'm playing with three putters this winter trying to decide what to do for next spring.

All three have Superstroke grips but different models: Regular 3.0, Tank Cruiser 14" 2.0 grip and a 17" Flatso Mid (which was on a 43" belly putter but I recently cut 5" off the end so the grip is now 12" and the putter 38").

All three feel nice in my hands however I don't know (at least yet) which model of grip works the best for me.

    Royal grip STS cord.

I love the black Titleist cord grips but it's tough to find one and not spend an arm and a leg. Tried a Royal cord a couple years ago and loved them. Nice sharp edges in the front, pistol shape, cord, with a little bigger butt end than the Titleist cord.

I have a GripMaster Cabretta Leather stitchback. I'm not really committed to it. I'm looking for something like the old Neumann leather putter grip that they had on the old Wilson 8802. GripMaster USA does have a midsize leather grip that I like that comes on the Bettinardi Studio Series 10 putter, but I think they just make it for that putter. I think my next project is to take a Pingman grip and buy some leather wrap and see how that feels.
I started the 15' season with a 5.0 superstrock and boy was that a bad idea. I now have a 2.0 superstroke and love it. I would try the 2.0 or 1.0 like you originally thinking about.
