Looks like the retail triple diamond has a TAF...DF serial so what are the 8.5* heads on eBay that have the same serial but are listed as “tour issue”?

I can tell you it works. Played today and found it straight. Not a low spin driver and I think I was finding more fairways because of it. It was really windy today and a few holes Iw as against I tried to hit a lower draw and the 3x diamond performed. Got some good distance and I was able to hit low spinets if needed to. #honeymoon phase.

    Here are some pics...

Here are some with the NORMAL Epic...

Is the sound the same as regular epic flash sz? Thanks

It’s a more muted sound. Not as loud and pingy.

There are both TA and TC serials. Same mold though. I can see specifics mold lines in the heads that match each other. Same heads but they serialize them different probably for the same reasons you would as well if you wanted to track inventories. The TA came from my purchase with

On -, @joey3108 the tour club fitter and the TC came from the tour.

I played the TA twice this week and tested on trackman the it is a great head. I called

On -, @joey3108 today and he agreed with my early assessment ... A very neutral head. Not to low spin or high spin. Seems to be a everyday head that will play well. Forgiving and maybe so because it does give you needed spin for those that dip to low with the standard sub zero.

I remember Ryan Moore on one of our podcasts talking about driver control as a priority to keep the ball in play for his second shot to get close for a birdie op. I think I could lose 200 to 300 more spin and pick up 10 more yards but at what cost.

This driver seems to be in a sweet spot for spin and MOI. Looks great as well. JMHGO

Here are some pics of the TA and TC serials, but they are the same heads.

Great comparison photos and even better details/description on your experience with it. Bit the bullet and ordered one today so hopefully the 1-2 wk backorder is an overestimate.

I would bet the 8.5 truly is tour only still with only the 9 and 10.5 available to us mere mortals.

Pretty awesome. I got to hit this for the last few days. First Sub that I could turn over with little effort. Ball speed and spin numbers for me was outstanding. I did have it in full draw and cog at -1/d. Rocket ship and looks great at address. Looks like it will find a spot in the bag.

The initial release flyer I saw had 9/9.5 listed in lefty, that’s why I was confused when it was righty only on their side.

I hit the Nine . I also hit the 10.5 at -1. I wish I could hit the 8.5 at -1 to see my ball flight.

I know this is gonna come off a little harsh, but I think it is REALLY wrong of Callaway to release these triple diamond heads, and the "dot" Apex Pros, just months after people ordered, or bought, the retail Flash drivers or Apex Pro irons. This is the first time I have seen Callaway do something like this, and its bothersome to me. I would NOT have used up my shop cred and got the retail head, if I knew I would have this option, just a couple of months down the road. Its no big deal, I like the Flash head just fine, but would have liked to have known this was going to be released first. I would have stuck with my Rogue until I could try them both........

My Tour Issue black diamond came in yesterday and it sure is good looking! Was able to take it out to the range for a bit last night, and even being an 8.5 true loft it still launches pretty well, actually got the loft turned down 1 degree while trying to get it dialed in. I was hitting into a head wind the entire time but I didn't see any drives that seemed to get up and be overly spinning. Going out this afternoon to play some so I can it on the course and with real golf balls, but so far very impressed. I love the look and setup of it at address, can't 100% comment on sound yet as I had headphones in listening to music yesterday but this head does have a little hotmelt in it, will get a better idea today on the sound. Got a Diamana DF 70X in it and the driver just wants to go straight and if anything fall just a touch right. Left has always been a big miss for me, but I didn't see any of those yesterday on the range.
