Today was one of the last warm days of the year. Forecast is supposed to drop over the coming weeks. Was able to get out at the range for what might be my final outdoor session of the year. Swing is looking pretty good. Going to work hard on it over the winter.

At least you're one of the nice people who take divots in a straight line instead of a 2x2 dirt patch.

 

 

I've been told both ways are acceptable as long as it's not a random scattered pattern. I usually go with the strips. Well, on the rare occasion I can hit on a grass range :) This was an hour from my house but worth it.

 

Dirt patch takes forever to grow back, strips way to go!

 

I did not know that. i was always told just avoid a scatter pattern. I will make sure to do that going forward.

Swing looks real good Chris! You're really maintaining nice width. I also like the look of those divots. Hand path tracks nicely around to the left...well done!

 

Have you intentionally slowed down your tempo? Looks pretty syrupy with a slight pause in transition. Nice

 

I have a little bit. Trying to intentionally pause a bit at the top. Part of it is because I hit it much better with a slight pause, part of it is because I'm working on some downswing changes. Not going full distance, but I don't make any progress at full speed anyway.

swing looks solid and the sound is pure off the face even if it is a little muffled. Love the divot strips....there is something warm and fuzzy about hitting a bunch of balls and having nice straight divot lines.

Paulina is sticking around until something can truly kick her out of the bag. Had a dry spell putting around the end of August and I went back to some old putters, but nothing was as good as Paulina, so I switched back. It was a good to have a different putter in the bag as a break though.

 

 

 

Soooooooooo........ we might have found that something to kick Paulina out of the bag... An opportunity came up to purchase this putter, and I had to jump at it. I had missed a few that had come up and kicked myself, so I was really glad to lock this one down. I've always liked the look of Justin Thomas' putter, and have been on a "mallet with toe hang" kick. Unfortunately, Scotty Cameron doesn't offer one at retail. I guess that makes this one even more unique.

I caught some warm weather down in NJ and was able to get a round in, but sadly this beauty didn't arrive in time. Probably going to be indoor putting for a while with it, but hoping it's got some magic. I'll be posting some more in the coming weeks about my winter practice, plans for the coming season, etc. Things have been nuts as I'm moving and haven't gotten much practice in. Hoping that will change soon. In the meantime, I'll take suggestions for names for the new putter. :smilie_Titleist:
