I can't seem to get used to the claw grip. Feels very awkward and disconnected to me. Feels like I suck the putter way inside and am very unsteady trying it. Been gravitating toward mallet putters, either face balanced or slight toe hang, and not many mechanical thoughts. That equals made putts for me.

Might as well get a Cameron now to finish off the bag. I'll take care of Paulina :)

 

Paulina is sticking around until something can truly kick her out of the bag. Had a dry spell putting around the end of August and I went back to some old putters, but nothing was as good as Paulina, so I switched back. It was a good to have a different putter in the bag as a break though.

 

Sometimes you've got to put your putter in timeout for it to get it's act together. I had to do that for a few weeks last year, hell even Tiger did it last year!

Well, Andrew was referring to finishing off my bag with a Scotty, and that's because I'm putting LOTS of Titleist clubs in the bag. The newest addition arrived today. Someone noticed I sold my 790s, and I replaced them with some 718 AP2. I went 4-pw, 1/2" over standard, 2* upright, S400 shafts.

 

Two of my friends have 718 AP2 and I really liked hitting them (although one of them is an animal and is playing C Taper X, no thanks!) I went and tried all of the new offerings from the major players, Mizuno, TM, Callaway, etc, got fit, hit them multiple times, and decided on AP2. They're a great mix of forgiveness, performance, and let's be honest, LOOKS.

 

I'm looking forward to getting them out on the course and to the range to try them out.

 

Absolute beauties! I hope they make it in your bag until the 720's come out in September. :taunt:

First round in the books with the TItleist clubs last week, hit them all really well. Hoping to play a few more times before winter sets in. Swing is in pretty good shape, going to work hard on it over the winter to come back strong in the spring.

I recently succumbed to the club ho'ing, new driver in the bag. Weather is so crappy I probably won't get to hit it outside until January when I head to Phoenix.

 

I really wanted to get the new Titleist TS3, but just wasn't working for me. I loved the look and sound. Couldn't get good numbers.

 

Hit the Ping G400 but the shape of the head and sound didn't do it for me.

 

Also hit a TaylorMade M4 with a few shaft combos that was promising. Ended up being my 2nd place.

 

In the end I went with a Rogue SubZero with the Even Flow Blue 6.5 65g. Wasn't even on my list to try, but the fitter talked me into trying it. Great numbers, very forgiving too.

they don't play super forgiving drivers though. the thing about the max is it is low enough spinning to be played by people who swing 130 mph but also way more forgiving than anything DJ or JT would play. it's just a superior design.

Today was one of the last warm days of the year. Forecast is supposed to drop over the coming weeks. Was able to get out at the range for what might be my final outdoor session of the year. Swing is looking pretty good. Going to work hard on it over the winter.

I’ve been told both ways are acceptable as long as it’s not a random scattered pattern. I usually go with the strips. Well, on the rare occasion I can hit on a grass range :) This was an hour from my house but worth it.

Swing looks real good Chris! You're really maintaining nice width. I also like the look of those divots. Hand path tracks nicely around to the left...well done!

 

Have you intentionally slowed down your tempo? Looks pretty syrupy with a slight pause in transition. Nice
