See? This flaw is so deeply ingrained in my psyche that I got the fix backwards when I wrote this.

 

I looked up some stretches if anyone struggles to keep this position like I do. Much easier after loosening up. I use a wooden broom right now but it seems to work with a golf club as well, not sure how bad that is for you club though. I'm going to experiment by adding the stretch to my pre match stretch routine and seeing how well I keep under the club.

I see the logic in naming it for the driver though. There's a ton of people that post threads here along the lines of, "striping irons, but driver sucks!!!", when really it's the whole bag coming to a head at the hardest club.

 

Either way, if you want more distance and accuracy and consistency with the driver, that's the answer.

I took one of the setup tips to the course today and it helped on my drives, but I think it was actually better for my chipping. Definitely some good stuff in there that works for all parts of the swing.

Very well done. Production like the other two videos is clean and concise. If there is such a video that can work in place of one on one instruction, this is it. It is troubleshooting 101 for golfers. It's very detailed, but not to the point of being stupidly technical. The overall theme is to learn the extremes in the golf swing and try to avoid them. If you're able to put yourself in decent position by avoiding the extremes and sequence properly, you can swing as hard as you can and hit it in the middle of the face. Drive for Dough gives you the knowledge to work toward that.

Got through the first one, working on the second. Comprehensive and reinforcing, helping with things we've worked on in iron swing. Really a great exposition on the golf swing. Will finish tonight, but need to watch again start to finish.

This video had me thinking more about my setup and focusing on my spine rotation during a mat session today and I was hitting pretty good and "feeling it". I could feel when I was off center - swaying back - and the poor shot trajectory matched the feel. When I stayed centered and rotated properly - the balls went straight and long. So we'll see how long it lasts as I continue - but the video is top notch regardless. Well done.

Purchased it just now - I plan on watching it this week but got to be honest, I primarily got it to support Monty as much as to improve my swing - the guy puts a ton of free stuff online and the least we can do is support his paid endeavours. I will update once I have watched it.

 

Both videos are about 2gb each - great that someone is releasing high quality 1080p footage.

Really good videos, lots of awesome drills around a few main ideas to get you swinging better. My main takeaway was I need to clean up my backswing (ie blending), no it's not a beauty contest back there but left unattended there are a lot of downswing effects when you get outta whack.

Just finished watching it all last night. Great video. One of the first things i"m going to try is a slightly stronger grip than I have right now. In the video Monte made a pretty good case for it and it convinced me of the possible benefits.

It's not that the links won't work on an Apple MOBILE device (iPhone, iPad). The video will play fine on those devices. The point is that the file can't be saved directly to an Apple device, as iOS is not a file-based system (like Windows, OS X, and most Android devices). These aren't streaming files, they're downloads, so the point of saving it to a computer first is so that you don't have to re-download again, as the links expire, etc.

One of the greatest parts of the entire video, the part where he said "you don't chase numbers. You don't chase positions." Too often we see threads about optimal launch conditions and are my numbers too high etc. because they are going off of what they are told is "perfect", but perfect is a relative term. Find your perfection and stop trying to conform into a tight, little golf box.

Yeah, I've actually saved it twice. It's on my desktop, and I downloaded it from there to a couple of flash drives so I could watch it somewhere besides my pc.

Guys - if you want to save these video's (or any videos for that matter...) to your iPhone - it is easy. Download the video files to your desktop. Open iTunes and drag the movie files from your desktop into your movies folder inside iTunes. This will make a COPY of the movies that live in your iTunes media folder -- which is where all of your songs and videos are stored. Plug in your phone and sync it through iTunes. make sure your movies are checked as being able to sync on your phone. It is a check box that you tick off on the main page inside of iTunes. As long as you have the space for them - the movies will copy over to your iPhone or iPad or whatever device. You can now DELETE the original downloaded files off your desktop (because you have duplicated them in iTunes - and you are wasting space by having 2 copies).

 

Also - if you know how -- you can recompress the 720 files down so that they are even smaller for iPhones - and you will lose next to no quality - the files will just be smaller in size to fit for the small screen and save space.
