The secret is to rehearse every move mentioned in the 4 hour video prior to each swing on the course. It's obviously the only way to ingrain the swing change.

The post-production takes this video from great to amazing. No wonder it took so long to finish. I've watched almost all of Monte's YouTube videos and a couple of the pay ones... This is the best of the lot. Clear, comprehensive and an incredible value. The added graphics will increase your understanding tenfold.

Loved the wedges video, but my driver has been a sore spot for seasons now, really hope I can get some real changes going instead of swing fixes that don't last.

Separating the shoulder from the chin = gold. So easy to implement, and I can instantly feel less stuck and more shaft lean.

The right shoulder movement in the downswing is a big misconception of mine - Monte's explanation is a big nugget.

The drill in module 1 with centered head and moving from left shoulder / right foot to right shoulder / left foot is magic. I have always had a very hard time not getting too deep / too flat with elbow stuck behind me - like for a dozen years. Many instructors, read a ton, and never figured it out. It was almost entirely in my body rotation and not so much in my arms/elbows (arms/elbows are always what other instructors pointed to but it never came close to solving the problem (very frustrating)). Tough to explain, but essentially I was rotating my body more in the depth dimension which kind of forced my arms deep. This drill magically got my arms up in a good location (hands over right shoulder) with loads of the extensor pressure you are supposed to feel (never felt it before). Like a dog with a new chew toy. How am I supposed to sleep before hitting the range tomorrow before work?

only through the first hour and I have about 3 things that I can use

 

perpendicular shoulder over the right foot while aiming the butt of the club outside the ball - will really help me get deep enough on the backswing WHILE maintaining that secondary tilt WHILE getting the shaft on plane, DAMN thats nice!

bump dump and turn - kind of a familiar concept but the terminology and description presents it in a new way that makes much more sense than just "lead with the hips"

maintain eyeline to target - genius

 

even the stuff that doesn't necessarily pertain to me has taught me so much about the swing, and im only an hour in!
