Evnroll Putters-- Amazing!!!

Recommended Posts

Any long time mallet users have results with the ER6? I spent about 30 minutes rolling them today... I can't settle on the 33" or the 34" and the single line or the 3 lines.

My only "results" were in store so I can't comment on course. I plan on buying one once the lefty version comes out but I do find the 3 line version to line up better for me. However, I am used to it, seeing as my current mallet is the TR Ketsch mallet.

One thing though is somehow this putter just felt "smoother" to me than most mallets, other than Odyssey which is almost too soft for my liking. It was a nice mixture of soft, yet still enough feedback. My Ping is a bit firm and if you don't pure it, you definitely know.

Thanks for responding. I know exactly what you mean in terms of feel. I also am torn on the weight difference between the different lengths. I'm not sure if everyone is aware of it, but per the Evnroll website, each length has a different head weight.

35" - 355 grams

34" - 370 grams

33" - 385 grams

No problem, I think this putter is awesome.

BTW I would assume that's to keep swing weights the same length to length.

I emailed them recently and you can put the 385 gram head with a 35'' inch length. They can mix and match heads to lengths of your choice but custom sight line options are a no go atm. I asked this because I need to used a heavier than normal putter at 34'' otherwise my tempo gets screwed up.

That's awesome news for me too. I prefer a head right around the 370 mark, but need a 34 inch putter. Knowing I don't need to add lead tape and tinker with swing weight stuff is huge. My current Ping is a bit too light for my liking, but I haven't wanted to add any lead because I plan to resell it. Another reason to buy this putter.

Edit: General question - A certain "py" has an article about these putters posted a little while ago. The Er2 was hands down the best putter out right now. But does anybody know why? I would assume the big mallet would get the best SG due to it's larger MOI and potentially better sight lines.

If you're referring to the ER3, I've had one for about 4 weeks now. I've played at least 10 rounds and it is a keeper for sure. I have the 33", 385gm head. Love it and distance control is amazing.

I currently game the SC X5R at 34.5" w/ straight snsr grip. The er2 has me very intrigued but no one around me has one. I like my putter at 34.5". Do your know if the recommend going 35" and cutting it down? Does putting on a different grip (I would put on the SNSR straight 104) mess with the tech of the putter? Thanks

Grip won't change any of the technology, it may just change swing weight. I would advise you go 355g and reduce the amount of weight in the butt end. My preference is to not have too much weight in the grip end which is why I would go lighter headweight. It is more of a personal preference than anything

Ok thanks do you think with that SNSR grip which weighs 90g be ok than if I cut it down to 34.5"?

I believe the Winn grips they use weigh around 55g. If you cut it down to 34.5 with a 90g grip, the putter will actually swing much lighter than the d7 (I believe) the evnrolls swing at. If you're comfortable with less head weight you should be fine.

So the original grip (the Winn one) is lighter but has a 30gm weight in the back of the shaft. The new grip is heavier and doesnt have a weight in the back. Assuming the grip weights above are accurate, if you put on a SNSR which is 35gm heavier than the Winn, you can get the same swing weight if you remove the back weight.

I've used them all. Most recent was a center shaft itsy bitsy spider and a seemore Z3C. I could switch back to either of those tomorrow no problem but the roll of the Evnroll is in a class of its own.

I rolled some today at the show and liked them more then I did yesterday. They have a horrible putting green that grabs the ball. Yesterday the ball was literally skidding off the putter face and I thought they were the worst putter in the world. Then today I rolled them in another direction and got a good roll on the ball. In any case not smart to have a spotty putting green to demo your putters.

I noticed a couple of posts about the er3 wing blade (new for 2017). I went on evnroll website and they don't list the er3 wing blade or any of the other 2017 models as on the market or available yet. Also couldn't find it on PGA superstore website. Are they in fact available and, if so, where can they purchased?

Thanks!

They're available pretty randomly. A few PGA superstores received a few models early. They're also on eBay every now and again

The lack of an actual plumber's neck putter tells me this is not a serious golf company. They want to make cheap shaft into head putters.

That's it. Guerin Rife just isn't a serious putter maker.
