ouch missed from a couple of feet, if she could putt like Stacy she would be 10 under already

 

I think at least -12under(if you count yesterday). Tee to green she's been great. I don't think I ever seen a top tier pro golfer miss as many makeable birdie putts as Lexi.

It's clearly the weakest part of her game. If she ever found magic with the putter, she'd be virtually unbeatable.

Lydia well off the pace stats wise and ball striking, take the last 3 holes all good birdie chances and Stacy 5 under through 6 holes and Lydia 1 under - also Lydia 1 under through the 8 par 5's, she needs to lift her game on those and the front nine or she will be out of contention.

If she didn't have the bogey and double, she would've shot a 60. Impressive. I think she tied it. Marcus Fraser and kuchar both shot 63

 

Inbee's 66 was like the simplest 66 I seen in awhile.

Inbee Vs Stacy, it's like 2013 all over again.

 

Good pairing. Two former number ones who have been getting unfairly written off lately. Stacy because she has failed to win in a long time and Inbee because she's been struggling with injury. Inbee in particular. The media has been pushing this weird narrative that she has one foot in the grave, with hardly any basis in any concrete statements made by Inbee re: retirement. Inbee sounds like she doesn't know what she is going to do. She is 27, barely older than Michelle, a lot younger than Stacy and Gerina.

No they don't. It was a personal decision for some not to go. These Olympics are falling apart at the seams.

I don't think so. I think Whan purposefully cleared the schedule for the olympics. I honestly think this is great for women's golf

I wonder what Stacy really thinks of this event and what first place would mean to her. She always struck me as no-nonsense, not particularly sentimental. What I am trying to say here is that the field seems especially weak, even more than the men's competition. There are some seriously low ranked-players in this field of 60. It's not even close to an average LPGA field. Wondering how satisfied Stacy would be winning here vs. ending her LPGA winless streak.

 

The elite players in the game are all in the field though.

What a great leaderboard. Final 2 groups are basically what you would script. Throw in some other no names that are within reach. Shaping up to be a great tourney.
