So my wife found out how much my PXG irons cost... Mint Miura cb 501 3-PW, Miura Stand Bad and Odyss

Recommended Posts

Wife (to her boss): “my husband just got new golf clubs the other day, he is really excited about them.”

Boss: “oh yeah? What did he get? Callaway?”

Wife: “no, PXG I think they were called, he said they don’t sell them in stores and they’re supposed to be the best”

Boss: “holy cow, those things cost like 3 grand!”

Wife (picks up phone, calls me): “how much did your new golf clubs cost?????”

Me: “ummmm, net net, they won’t cost anything, I’ve just got to move some product first babe, I swear”

So here we are…

First is a freaking fantastic build, these things were brand new in June, that’s right, less than 2 months old and I’m a working stiff…1 game a week and range time to warm up, but that’s it. They are some of the sweetest feeling and sounding irons on the planet and the shaft combo creates incredible ball flight. Here's what you'll get:

Miura cb 501 4-PW set with Nippon Modus 3 Tour 105 stiff shafts, .5 over with new golf pride CP2 midsize wrap grips. I got this set brand new and they had s300's in em, all standard, so I went and had them built up with Nippons because, well Miura deserves more that's why. These have navy blue ferrules and navy blue paintfill on the # and "genuine" 38.5 5 iron length, but if you were inclined, they could easily be butt trimmed down to standard length.

Miura cb 501 3 iron with a standard length dg s300 shaft

raw length Nippon Modus 3 Tour 105 stiff 3 iron shaft, blue ferrule and nail polish to match

The details: I got these in mid june brand new, had them built up with the shafts and grip and have had 2 range sessions (clean balls only, I won't hit the florida sandy ball like a lot of people!) and played a total of 5 rounds of golf on these clubs. The 4 iron has probably hit 3 balls in total.

There is hardly any bag chatter, since they weren't played all that much, the ONLY wear to them is on the 6 iron, I played a ball off of a dirt cart path and it scuffed and put a ding in the sole of the 6, it's captured here:

$SOLD shipped and insured gets this done. The shafts were $300 by themselves.

Next is a sweet Miura Stand bag, Sun Mountain, with Miura logos on the side pockets and ball pocket, all zippers working and no damage to it. $SOLD shipped.

Of course I'm open to making a sweet deal if we combine the irons and bag, it'll save some shipping dough too, those bags are a nightmare to ship out.

Lastly, we've got an Odyssey Works 34in two ball fang lined putter with a superstroke 3.0. this was gamed for a few months, so the grip shows some signs of wear but otherwise Minty fresh. $SOLD shipped to you!

I've got a weird question for you...

I noticed your bag is standing on hardwood floors with what appears to be no issues. I have the exact same bag and the thing does not stand on hardwood. The thing 'sprawls' out and stands maybe a foot or so off the ground. I bought it new, direct, and brought it to their attention within the first two weeks and the response was, "yea, that could happen on hardwood." WTF? Well I've since had it happen on concrete (just once, I caught it), do you experience anything similar?

Sorry to thread jack.

Thanks everyone for your concern, her boss is dead to me for sure! This is going to be an expensive weekend getting out of this one.

As for the above post, never had the issue, not like that anyway. In the garage, smooth concrete, the base of the bag might slide back a touch more but no collapsing. Did you reach out to Sun Mountain or Miura? SM makes a really great bag, you'd think they'd make it right.

Water on the face bro!

Yeah I took the pics quickly and hadn't dried them off...so much for artistic points!

How do you like those LE 10s? same bounce across all 3 wedges work for you? I thought about snagging them through the Superstore because they were so inexpensive.

I love the LE-10s, amazing wedges. They are extremely consistent and very versatile. I only carry the 56 and 60. I have a Vokey for my 52. Pretty much what you'd expect from a fourteen forged wedge. I'll probably be looking for a backup set soon.
