I managed to get 3 boxes 6dz of the new V3 balls at my Costco. After some casual chipping and putting with both the V3 and V2 in our living room, these balls feel and look exactly like the V2.  And doing some casual research online, these 2 balls have the exact same # of dimples, same injection molded cover and just a different color core.  The packaging and descriptions on the 2 boxes is exactly the same, just in a different layout. In looking at the dimple patterns on both balls they do look exactly the same.  All of these observations are JMO and obviously I haven’t played with them yet.  I’m just feeling that these new balls are the same thing as the V2, just newer. IOW’s, I don’t have very high hopes that this ball is much “better” than the V2.

That is strange. Up here in the NW boonies (Eastern Wa.) we are usually the last to get new stuff and looks like we were one of the first this time.

someone showed the two cut in halves, the different color cores and mantle probably mean they are a different hardness than the V2's, so that may impact the spin and bring it down.

When I ordered mine on Thursday, they said they'd be here on Monday.  I got an update earlier today saying it'll be Wednesday now.... 😞

Guess my launch monitor data will have to wait a few more days.

Original 4-pc Ksig was K4.1. Replacement (bad cover) was K4.2. Rumored for a while was a K4.3 that never appeared. 

 

Original 3-pc was K3.1, V2 was K3.2, so this would be K3.3. 

This, of course, is correct. It is also correct, as you mentioned later, that this identification system won’t come into vogue until/unless a new 4piece ball is released.

Launch angle was 1* lower.  Ball speed the same.  Some of that comes down to user strike, angle of attack, etc...  The ball speed and spin numbers are what matter in on that comparison.

Actually, I think the Site We Can Not Name is totally random in deciding if they are going to do a puff piece (and set of a wave or hoarding, like the OG ball) or a hit piece. They seem to have some heuristic for determining which will generate more pageviews and clicks.

The box pictured on the costco website had 'made in Vietnam' printed.  possible that Costco has multiple contracts and some of the V3.3 will be made in China and others made in Vietnam?

Mine were made in China. I played a round yesterday with them. Was not striking well so we cracked a few beverages and i forgot to really take notice of how the ball reacted. 
 

That being said, I almost drove #2 which is a par 4 250 uphill amd was slightly into the wind yesterday, with my 3wood and on #3 ball rested at 57yds from pin from 336. Then a hosel rocket on the par 3 4th - which was playing 107. l lost it in the tall grass. Game was all downhill from there. so fwiw theres my anecdotal review. 😂

Folks reported seeing both "made in China" and "made in Vietnam" for the V2 balls as well.

Without clubhead numbers we also don’t know how that affects the spin and ball speed either

I'd take the same ball, if it were in yellow. Hopefully, they are on the way!

The V2 used to be made in China but switched to Vietnam a year ago.  Are there any V3 from China?  All the pics I've seen are Vietnam.

First reviews are up on Costco.com, and they're all 5 stars. One person said that they've hit every version of Kirkland balls, including the 4 piece, and these are the best ones yet. Can't wait to give them a try!
