Kirkland Signature (Costco) golf balls (MERGED) (NO BST POSTS)

Welp. I broke down and ordered some. We’ll see how they perform. I’m hoping some reviews will be out before i start using them.

I'm probably going to hold off on ordering online. I'm thinking since the limit is 5 per member that might mean they are well stocked and should be on their way to stores soon.

Yeah I hope so too. 
 

i just live 1.5 hours away from ours, so I won’t be able to drop by when they’re in stock. Hopefully by the time we know if they’re good or bad, I can get by to buy some more…or return these..😂

Will be excited to see some reviews of these.    Fingers crossed they are slightly improved from the prior generation.   They specifically mention lower spin rate and improved durability.    If that's the case, it'll be a winner for sure.

They want you in the doors the for treasure hunt I guess? Ill oblige. I found some local craft beer for $7 a 6pack and a 3 pack of moisture wicking t-shirts for $6.99 yesterday. Also our favorite chips went on sale for $3.99 for a huge bag. Normally they’re like $6 for a micro sized bag at trader joes….what were we talking about again? Oh, right, golf balls. I didnt see any.

Ouch! I think I've got about 6-7 Costcos within a 30 minute drive, and if I extend that out to 1.5 hrs, several dozen!

Couldn't wait until the kirklands dropped so stocked up on a lot of premium balls. But went ahead and placed an order for 5 boxes anyways. Should be good on balls for awhile.

I might just have to bite the bullet on these as soon as I see them. I'm running out of the last of my 5doz purchase of Snell MTB-X in Optic Yellow, and waiting until the summer when the MTB Prime (or X) come out in yellow to consider a 5doz purchase. 

 

Of course, if they've knocked a little spin off these suckers, that Snell purchase won't have to happen.

I've been checking the Costco site almost every day, anxious to see when the new irons will show up.  Nothing yet on those, but....

I'm anxious to test the v2's against the new v3's on my simulator.

I'm hopeful the spin numbers are down, as the v2's spin too much for my game.

Why 3.3 as opposed to just V3? The prior ball was labeled V2, so seems like V3 makes sense.

To distinguish between the 4-pc and 3-pc.

 

Original 4-pc Ksig was K4.1. Replacement (bad cover) was K4.2. Rumored for a while was a K4.3 that never appeared. 

 

Original 3-pc was K3.1, V2 was K3.2, so this would be K3.3.

The ball that is being phased out and is on clearance is simply labeled "V2" on the box, so I thought that's what we'd be calling it. Therefore I figured we'd just call this the "V3".

 

When and if we ever see another 4P ball, it seems they will be stamped with "Tour", so I would propose using that as an identifier. But I hold out little hope of seeing it since it's fallen off the confirming list.

 

But whatever the group decides.

Other than the packaging, is there any markings on the ball itself that designate it as version 3? The price including shipping is insanely inexpensive.

$17.50 per dozen of urethane golf balls is insanely expensive to you? Yes, they're more expensive than they used to be but still a great value for less than $20 per dozen.

I propose we call it the K3.3nLY(c)

 

nLY designates that it is a non-leap year ball. 
And the parenthetical “c” shows that it does not adjust for Coriolis effect. 
 

Simple and easy.

Order now. Buy them again when they're in stock and you are in store. Return as other ones. This is the advice given to me when we ask for a price adjustment after the price adjustment period. They literally tell us to go back in to the store, buy another one, and return it under the old receipt.

Lol. There isn't any 4 piece ball right now anyway. So it's kirkland v3. If you want to refer to the non-existent 4piece ball, say so. Simple.

Yes. But I keep them around. I keep some on hand, and hand them to newbies who are learning the game. If the course has a lot of canyons and water, they ALWAYS run out of balls.

If they are unopened I would be surprised if you could not return them.

Yes, they are stamped differently.  The V2 ball (top image) is stamped <DOT Performance+ DOT>,

and the new ball (I'm sticking with V3 until we reach a consensus otherwise) is stamped << Performance + >> (bottom image).

Costco will basically take anything back for any reason, be it opened, used, or whatever.  I've heard horror stories about that people return and they take it back. They had to change their electronics policy to 90 days because people would buy a new tv to use for a couple of years then "return" it and get a new one.
