Or, like someone said earlier, they clearance out one manufacturer to make room for the new stock from a new manufacturer.  ie China to Vietnam

Definitely different pricing than being on sale. They do instant savings for sale items so it would just be $10 off or something. This was clearance pricing.

You never know.  Snell is set to offer their new models for presale starting next week but they haven't appeared on the conforming list yet.  Conforming list for April should come out on Monday.

AFAIK the price reduction just happened within the last week.  When was the last time you priced golf balls at Costco?

Was there last a week ago Tuesday and they were $27.99.

 

There was a couple of weeks or so last year that they were $24.99 but hadn't seen them cheaper than that till now.

 

Still have a couple dozen left from last year but will pick some up this week for sure if they're still below twenty bucks.

 

That's a steal.

 

We play yellow Srixon Q Star Tours around here until the zoysia greens up and then switch back to white KSigs.  

 

Like many others if Kirkland ever comes out with a yellow ball KSigs will be all I play.

Lol. Wife went to costco today. Overheard me talking to my cousin encouraging him to pick some up if his costco had the sale price.

Just guessing since I don't know Costco’s supply chain. Could be they placed an order and need to clear out space. New order coming in, existing stock is blown out to make room.

FYI - Yellow 3pc has appeared on the conforming list.  It's for the model that hasn't been seen in stores before.  Different markings than the current (v2) and original 3pc.

 

V2 (and original) 3pc - wedge dot Performance + dot wedge

White (on list for a while but never seen for sale) and yellow (new to list) -  wedge wedge Performance + wedge wedge

Given a chance, I'd play the yellow Kirkland for sure. Sounds like maybe there is some kind of V3 coming out with different markings, that would be very cool. Especially in  yellow. Now I'm debating stocking up on the current balls.

 

The fist time I saw the V2 I was visiting my parents out of state. They were on a pallet up on a high shelf. When I asked an employee about them they said they couldn't open them until the ones they had on the floor were sold out. Fortunately when I got home the V2s were on the floor and I was able to get some.

 

Looking forward to the first in store sighting of the new ball. I'm planning on a trip there sometime this week.

Called it a long time ago. Costco and yellow golf balls just make sense. Where I play, a lot of the people are big into the yellow or Hi-Vis stuff. Here is to hoping that this ball is better durability, less spin, identical if not slightly firmer feeling. 

Can't wait to see their irons as well. Wonder if they will have any other new stuff mixed into the release (if there is one).

I just know that somebody is going to complain about the shade of yellow that Costco uses if it is not their preferred shade of yellow lol, assuming it actually does release.

I've switched to colored balls, the Vice Pro plus shade and lime green are the easiest to pick up. It's funny, as my 57 year old eyes get a little worse, speed training has made my drives as long as ever, and I routinely hit 300 plus yard drives each round. Thank goodness for the colored balls!!
