the distance "loss" thing is so overblown with these. I still manage to hit drives over 300 with them, and the only thing that doesn't work for me is that they bite and spin back a bit too much for me on the greens.

This ^^^

Even though I’m not capable of hitting the ball 300 yards, I feel like the distance is fine. But, while it looks cool, I really don’t want a ball backing up 20 feet.

Is there any way to tell the difference between the various versions of the Ksigs?

Sure, just look at the markings on the USGA conforming ball list.

Maybe this makes more sense to e-man.

Tour Edge Exotics:  Irons and Woods

Cleveland:  Wedges

Odyssey:  Putter

The color of the boxes they come in.  Black box with green around the ball = 4pc.  Silver with green around the ball = 3 pc. V-1.  Gold box with red around ball = 3 pc. V-2

When the V2 came out I gave away all my V1 boxes and balls so I wouldn't mix them up.  Other than that........🤷‍♂️

Correct me if im wrong , But Gold box is the 2nd iteration of the 4pc with the cover issues.

3pc has always come in a silver box, the new(er) ones say v2.0 on them.

On the version two box of the 3 piece K-Sig it literally says v2.0 on the silver box.

The 3-piece have identical markings, so I mark them 3.1 or 3.2 with a Sharpie. The way to tell a 4-piece version 2 is if the cover shreds during play…

Epic Speed 9* (VeloCore Blue 6S)

SIM2 Ti 15* (Tour AD BB 6SR)

Apex UW 19* (MMT 70S)

0311XP Gen3 4-PW (Accra 90i S)

Vokey Forged 52

Vokey Forged Black 58.12K

HiToe 64*
WHP 7CS

I switched to the current version this year after a long break from the game.  I played it against a Pro-V1 on the course and into a launch monitor and for my very average upper 90s swing speed there was little to no difference other than price.  Mine have all been purchased after March 1 and all are marked made in Vietnam.

I certainly don't find it shorter off the driver which for me is anywhere between 250 and 270 after they roll out.  Not a big hitter obviously though. Where it really shines for my game is holding greens.  I can stick all of my irons...2-sw with the K-Sig. Not bad considering they are the price of a Pinnacle.

The original 4 piece (wedge Tour Performance wedge) is no longer on the conforming list.

The 4 piece ball that is currently on the conforming list (wedge dot Tour Performance dot wedge) has never been on the market as far as I know.

The 4 piece ball that was recalled due to quality issues (wedge dot Performance One dot wedge) is no longer on the conforming list.

The original 3 piece and the 2.0 version have the same markings (wedge dot Performance + dot wedge) and there is a single entry for them on the conforming list.

There is currently an additional 3 piece ball on the conforming list (wedge wedge Performance + wedge wedge) that has never been on the market as far as I know.

There have been several 3 piece and 4 piece Kirkland balls over the years that have showed up on the conforming list for a while but have never been seen for sale.

I bought Snell MBTX and some K-sigs.  I didn't notice any major distance loss with the K-sigs.  And they spun more with irons and wedges.  They are a bit more firm off the putter, but it wasn't a major issue to me as I typically play firm balls.  V2.0 in silver and red.  Again, the issue with all the budget balls is durability.

It's Friday afternoon, I'm bored, and it's been far too long since any K-sig talk.

So....how do you mark your K-Sigs?  I never used to since I never came across anyone else playing them.  But then my son decided to start gaming them so I had to have a way to tell ours apart.  I'm currently going with a red dot over the "i" in each "Kirkland"

Threw it in the shag bag and did hit some shots with it and it felt and played ok. I was messing on adjustment on a M-6 driver and goofed up hooked the snot out of it and lost it. But I had never seen any marked like that before

Sale shows $4 off, the last in-store price I saw was $34.99. A great deal, if you can get them for $23.99.

That was a price you saw in store? At my local Costco you can buy them for $27.99 all day. Price was marked at $23.99 ($4 off) yesterday when I went in to grab a pumpkin pie.

The pumpkin pie is fantastic by the way, and a steal at $5.99.

Yes, at the Issaquah, WA store, which, is Costco headquarters. The online price has gone up, too.

I am going to go to my local Costco tonight to check prices here in Vancouver, Canada. $34.99 US seems insane.
