Unfortunately I go through ball much quicker than that, due to a combination of my golf course being a P.B. Dye course with lots of trouble, and a complete lack of skill and ability. That's why I'm so fixated on a value ball. So as long as Kirkland keeps rolling them out and nothing better comes along, I'll keep stocking up on them.

Just having a Dye course as your home course is enough to stock up on value balls.  His courses make skilled golfers look unskilled at times.

It's not long, but it is tough if you're not accurate.  Which deceives a lot of folks who just look at yardage totals. Lots of sand, water, and elevated greens. You can miss a really good shot by a couple of yards and end up in a world of hurt.

That's how Tillinghast designed 4 out of 5 Bethpage State Park golf courses (Black, Red, Green, Blue).  They are brutally punitive if you're not accurate.  Robert Trent Jones designed a bunch on Long Island that are the same way.  I'm playing Bethpage Black in May.  Hope my aging and fat knees will be able to make the arduous walk.  No motorcarts.  Walking only.  I'm going for the caddy.  There are about 5-10 heart attack emergencies on Black each year.  It's brutal.  Hilly, long and a lot of hazards.  It's 7465 from Blues, 6738 from the white tees.  Pro tees around 7700 yards.

That's not just a round of golf....that's a lifetime experience. Darn straight get a caddy! Do it up right, regardless if you think you need one physically or not!!

i've lived 3 miles from Bethpage for 30 years.  Never played Black.  I usually get in 10-15 rounds a year there.   Before that I was 30 miles from there in Brooklyn and never played Black LOL.

Just visited 2 of the local Costcos here in Hawaii.  Both were void of K-Sig balls.  One did have the wedges at $100 with an asterisk.

The wedges will probably double in price within a year, lol.  I have 5 dozen KSigs sitting in the horde room.  The last 4 dozen were $40 for all and I just couldn't pass them up knowing they were going away.  I may have a problem or two, lol as I don't even play the ball anymore.

asked someone at Costco to look up and see if the new balls are coming. The computer showed the V3 balls are coming, but didn't show a date. The guy said that's normal, but he feels it should be any day now since they put the old ones on clearance to make room, and they wouldn't do that unless the new ones are coming soon.

I have about 4 dozen V2 left.  I use them for the courses I play with ALLOT of water so when I eventually cut or pull one into the water it don't bother me.  I have enough balls to last at least 2-4 years.  I'll probably buy more even though my wife is ready to make me sleep with them.  She saw the stash on Saturday.  I have a corner computer desk in my home office and they are stacked up from the floor to the bottom of the underside of the desktop.  Two towers of ball boxes (about 20 dozen including about 3-4 dozen Top Flite Gamer and Callaway Diablo Tour I give my son to play with when we go play golf).   The question was posed "Are all those boxes full of golf balls?"

You should have told your wife they were full of porno mags, or drugs, or at least SOMETHING to make you seem more normal.

They need to come out with something better.  I played the v1 and v2.0 three-piece balls and have given up on them.  The various testing and my personal results are that they're too spinny and short.  I go between them and the Maxfli Tour, and the Maxfli are easily 10 yards longer.  If the difference were closer, I'd save my money and play the Ksigs.  However, 10 yards is a lot to give up from the tee box.

... I would venture an educated guess and say the average Costco Kirkland ball customer needs more spin, not less. That said, I wouldn't mind the V3 ball being able to compete with my Maxfli Tours for spin and distance either.

Double edged sword. Higher spinning means some shots might go higher etc. But also more curve so worse slices.

Hey Sam!  I never would have thunk it!  A buddy gave me 2 dozen V2 Costco balls for Christmas.  I said "I will never use those to myself".  After playing rather poorly with my Srixon Q star tours, I gave 'em a try.  Wow!  Much longer & better control around the green.  Felt like I gained a few shots from my usual balls.  Just shows that trying different balls can lead to better performance.  BTW, I belong to 2 groups of players that play with SCGA rules (So Cal Golf Association).  So much fun!  We put $20 per year into the pot.  Birdies get $5 & eagles get $100.  I had an eagle at Coyote Hills last week.

I still have a personal best 75 with that ball. For that reason alone it will always have a soft place in my heart.

MGS just put up an article about the v3. Hoping it comes out soon…

Unfortunately, the article doesn't contain any new info.  No release date, prices, or information from Costco.  It seems to imply that both the white and the yellow "v3" entries on the conforming list are new entries but the white one has been on the list for two or three years now.  Looks like we are still stuck with speculation and the only "info" being what folks have heard from talking to someone they know that works at a Costco.

I don't think that's the case. IIRC, there was a 4 piece ball on the list for quite some time that never make an appearance and eventually fell off. I think both the yellow and white balls that just showed up in the last month are both brand new.

Sorry, I'm missing your point. Yes, all that is correct, but doesn't address the point of whether the awaited on "V3" has been on the list before.  The two new ball on the list, stamped << Performance+ >> in both yellow and white, is a 3 piece ball that to the best of my knowledge has never been on the until this month (or was it last month at this point?).  The only other ball I'm aware of that was on the list and never arrived was the most recent 4 piece that replaced the one with the bad cover.

The white ball 3 piece ball with that stamp has been on the list for quite some time as has been commented on several times in this thread.  The yellow version with the same side stamp was just added this month.
