They can only see what's available in their regional distribution network. Sometimes products have arrival dates and sometimes they don't. If they don't know the exact name or item number, store info is more miss than hit based on my experience.

They had a pallet of yellows in the south Tucson Costco. I grabbed 2 boxes and played yesterday. Ball seems to play the same. I alternated 2 balls the hole round and they both are still playable, even with a cart path bounce on one of them.

Finally lost the yellow V3 in my previous post on its 62nd hole☹️, so it made it

2 - 18 hole rounds, a 9 hole round & was on #17 of the third 18 hole  round. 
 

Had not hit any cart paths or trees, but had a few bunker shots & had bounced off rocks 1 time. Still looked good & I think I could have easily continued playing it but got just a little left on 17 at Old Mill Golf Course in Salt Lake & couldn’t find it.

 

So far seems very matched to my game, have had a couple of my best scores with the yellow V3👍

Matt Fryer recently did a review of the V3, and compared it to V2 and Pro V1. Only knock seems to be durability. Now if only they'd release them in Canada (lots of V2 in store still). Next year I guess

Love these reviews, when they can't pick on performance, they pick on durability. It's way overblown! You can almost get 4 dz V3 at the same price of 1 dz Pro V1. If durability was truly an issue, at that price, who cares!!!

Plus I don't find that to be accurate even a little bit.

 

I think the V3 is one of if not the absolute most durable ball I've played but then I only have fifty years of experience.

 

The V2 not so much and I would rarely try and get more than 18 out of one of them as they just didn't look very good by that point.  Not scuffs or cuts unless they hit a tree or a cart path but the cover just got dirty and crappy looking.

 

However I find that the V3 retains its new look well beyond 18 holes and the yellow is even better.

 

I don't know why but I've always thought that yellow golf balls were more durable than the white version of any given brand or model and the V3 perhaps even more so.

 

But then I'm no Matty.........

Durability has not been an issue for me in 6 months of playing these. They perform great and last just as long as the "tour" level golf balls in my experience.

For those of you in the Seattle area the Aurora Village Costco has the yellow balls in stock. As of last week about 3/4 of a pallet.

Wife picked up a box of yellow for me. Not sure if it was clackamas or portland costco, or even what qty was like.

Played the Yellow Kirkland for the back 9 of my usual course.  Played 2019 TP5 on the front.  Shot a 45 on front and 42 on harder back.  Go figure.  Distances were all similar.

I have played 3 rounds with the yellow and it appears that they have less spin than the white. Could also be operator error or change in temperature.

Yeah I see the same. The balls used to be seasonal but seems like they are pretty stocked up now year around.  I always snag a few packs of gloves in the spring
