My mp67s are still in my rotation. They are in my tertiary bag. I hit them just as good as my newer irons.

Maxfli Revolution (black dots). Bought 2-PW in 2000 from a small golf store in Ypsilanti, MI. Used them for almost 10 years before joining this site and trying several other sets of irons, and came back to them this year. The only thing I've done to the Maxflis is regripped them; I had used the stock Maxfli grips the entire time.

I also have a second set of them that a fellow WRXer Boogs gave to me knowing my love for them, and a set of Australian Blades that I recently picked up that are from the same year/line.

Snake eyes 600c 3-9, black golf shafts. I can't hit any irons better than these it seems as I continually go back to them.

Nice. I have a set of 600c/b combo irons (4-7 = c, 8-W = b). I keep trying different irons but have these in the basement for all the time between sets.

I've been trying to find 600b for some time now. It drives me nuts that I can't seem to buy them anywhere ever

My frontline set is in my signature, but I've rotated VIP V-foils, FG59s, and Apex Plus irons the past month. This week I built a set of '99 Apex and Apex 'Redlines'. All of the sets were acquired 'dirt cheap' and my scores haven't varied but a few strokes in either direction with any of them. There were so many exceptional clubs realeased at the turn of the century that are still relevant today.

I still game a set of Ping ISI nickels. They have to be close to 18 years old.

Me too - bought mine new in September 1996 - still have the receipt for £995, which was probably around $1700 back them - not cheap for steel shafted irons ! Shafts were replaced by Ping after a couple of years due to rust spotting free of charge - still got the same Ping wrap grips on, which are almost as new despite being probably 18 years old !

Will never sell them - have several other sets of irons but these are still pretty much my go to set when i'm not playing often. A set of Vega prototypes came and went, as did a set of Fourteens. I also have a set of Eye 2+ , they were the must have club when i learnt and are still very easy to hit.

I love the Maxfli black dot irons. I have a set of them now, almost new. Just waiting to find a deal on something to shaft them with.

Played a set of 600c (4 - GW) for a few years. Wonderful irons. Look at a 600c and Hogen Apex Plus, you can see the resemblance (Jeff Sheets Design). Should have never sold them off for next to nothing. The 600B's occasionally show up on eBay. Although they tend to command a premium these days. Gets be to thinking about reacquiring a combo set of C's & B's.

In the mix of 10+ year old irons that can be played:

'99 Hogan Apex - My go to set when I'm swinging well.

'88 Hogan Apex "Redlines"

'79 Hogan Apex II's

Ping Eye 2's (Other Pend.)

Golden Ram Tour Grind Axials (although up for sale)

'74 Wilson Staff Dynapower (also for sale)

Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Mizuno T Zoid Comp Ez Pros circa 1999. They've been re-grooved, re-chromed and re-shafted. Have an exact backup set. 1 piece forging, hardly any offset, thin soles for a cavity back. Can't find anything I like better. I learned long ago sole grind is most important in irons and these seem to have what's best for me. I will admit to being intrigued by the upcoming JPX 900 Tours, though.......

I'm very disappointed that this thread is nearing three pages and there hasn't been a single photo of a nicely worn set of 10+-year-old irons.

Here's what I just built. Faces were refinished by Continental. Paint-fill to follow this afternoon. They have 'friends' waiting.

This Tad is friggin unbelievable. She's a loner at the moment but will hopefully join others someday.

All I've got on the phone right now.

You are correct. Vintage club porn is exciting.

I was playing TaylorMade R7 TP irons for the last 10 years. I hit them well but felt it was time to move on (although I still have them). All/most of the new irons I demo'd were giving me approx an extra club. Not sure if that is more aggressive lofts, shaft/head technology, or a combination of all - but I'm enjoying my new irons. They go forever.
