well other than you & Westy, off the top of my head the only other two who might be at the Sony and possibly put the iron in the bag would be Lingmerth and Summerhays.

 

(edit: Lingmerth on PING site atleast still "shows" i25, he does have "proto" in wedges slot. Hays apparently has switched to iBlade, I could have sworn I saw him hitting iE1 at times in 2016)

well other than you & Westy, off the top of my head the only other two who might be at the Sony and possibly put the iron in the bag would be Lingmerth and Summerhays.

I personally don't think i200 is a particularly good name. Sounds like a Lexus. What does 200 even mean when there is no 100, 250, 300, 500 etc? It's just a random number plucked out of thin air.

 

iBlade is fine by me. Says exactly what is is.

 

The club looks good, provided the top line is not too chunky.

Anyone know if the finish is all chrome or if there is any sort of paint or whatever on it. In the pictures here metal that's behind the ctp looks different than the rest of the iron, wondering if it has some sort of different finish?

Yes, these are the successor to the i series "iE1".

Although everyone calls the current i irons iE1, Ping just call them i irons on the website and the e1 is very discreet, so I reckon it was their intention for everyone to call them ping i's and the e1 was almost like a secondary model number that would increase but then everyone started calling them iE1s which sounds crap, so they have decided to abandon it all together and come up with i200. Just a thought.

I kind of wish they had gone retro with the naming on these - Eye. Maybe even incorporate the "cat's eye", last seen in the very first Eye iron. Or maybe I'm just being nostalgic, I played the original Eye irons all through high school.

W73 , I wouldn't disagree with you on retro badging. but IMO opinion PING would be holding that ace up their sleeve for an anniversary. for example the Eye 2 iron came out in 82. maybe many more years down the road they do a 50th anniversary iron badging.

They sure look like taylormade RAC irons ! Just saying but it looks like the OEM 's are recycling designs with slight tweaks .

Just realized that I am now an old man because I was more impressed with the patio and landscaping than the iron, which is impressive as well.

Just realized that I am now an old man because I was more impressed with the patio and landscaping than the iron, which is impressive as well.

 

Time to go yell at those neighborhood kids who keep riding their dang skateboards in the cul-de-sac.

I know the feeling last summer I just had the yard fertilized and as I was getting in my car to leave I yelled "Get off My Lawn" to a neighbor kid. When I was pulling out of the drive my wife punched me in the arm and said you are not Clint Eastwood, doing that just made you like a old man.
