I think they look fantastic. Hope the plating holds up better than on my i25's, which I sold due to "de-laminating" issues. That's my only concern. I've been gaming my original Rac LT's since I ditched the 25's, so these would be a nice option. Have been considering a set of PSi's, but I like this clean look much better!

Very confusing in name and style of iron. Ping had noted that future models would have the same name rather than changing the model name with each new issue but this one now says I200 instead of IE2. And the irons are more like the S55 (married to a TM Rac iron) than they are to the IE1. Not sure how Ping is trying to distinguish their irons as the IE1 was a players club that could be played by someone up to a 12-14 hc while these look like irons for a low single digit hc instead. I really liked the I series irons but I'm not convinced on these ones but I guess I'll have to wait to see them in person.

The shape looks exactly like the iE1 and the cavity looks like an s55. I think they wanted to pay omage to the eye 2 in the nomenclature. Now they've set themselves up for i201, i202 etc.

I'm not sure how you are jumping to the conclusion that these are geared towards a low single digit handicapper without having any info on blade length, offset etc. From the pictures we can gather it's a cavity back iron with what appears to be just as much width to the sole as i E1. Looks very much to be an iron geared towards a wide range of handicaps to me.

I think what's bothering me aesthetically is the lack of "PING" in the cavity. Just a small i200.

 

I know the s55 didn't have the PING logo in the cavity but it had it somewhat in the toe.

 

Again, just an aesthetics point of view. Club looks good.

Still on i20s. The ie1 definitely didn't do it for me. The iblade was pretty hard to hit. So I've been stuck with the older ones.

 

But these i200s. They have a chance. They are really good looking clubs.

They're trying the S55 again? I really do like Ping, but it's been a LONG time since I've bagged any of their irons, and that sure isn't changing with these. I have to say, however that's by far the best looking iron they've put out in like forever.

Probably can order in February with delivery in March. You can order the glide 2 wedges now for early February delivery.
