Everyone's favorite 80 gram fairyway shaft?

Blueboard 83 or or kai'li 80 if you want something smoother.

The kai'li was on my short list to try. Is it more of a mid mid shaft?

True, not a whole lot out there on the Thump fairway shaft other than a short review by golfshaftreview's russ ryden

I found it to have a really nice feel, just a bit more launch than I wanted (similar launch to Diamana Red or I'lima)

My favorite fairway shaft was the Whiteboard 83X. It even beat out the TP8HD. But this was before I was offered a Veylix Rome. In the past two years, I've not even wanted another fairway shaft.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

The Whiteboard 83 was solid, NV 85 was OK, but Hooky for me, kai'll 80 is what I have now. I like it a lot. The Fuji TW-84 was really smooth too. It came with a lot of room to tip too. So you could make it softer if you wanted, or as stout as needed. If you want something that is in the 80s, but stout feeling, maybe the diamana B 80. I have the 70 and it is a lot stronger than the Kai'li line it replaced.

Fujikura Pro 73 Tour Spec stiff shaft with a 6g tip weight. I wanted a shaft to be right around 80g (79g is perfectly fine) and wanted the same shaft as my driver (Fujikura Pro 73 Tour Spec stiff shaft). So far the 3 wood shaft makeup is performing very well.

If sticking in the 80 gram range, Fujikura ATMOS Blue 8 or if you can find a Fujikura P85 (there are a few on eBay) it is the modern Rombax P95 with updated graphics in 85g instead of 95.

A tip weight doesn't "simulate" adding weight to the shaft. That's adding weight to the head

I’m ok with that. I’m getting a bit older. As states, results have been excellent.

Tell me more!

Its the best fairway shaft I've ever played. Matrix HD smooth start to finish that's Whiteboard solid with a Blueboard ball flight. It also replaced the Diamana Thump and Fuji 904HB as my favorite hybrid shafts. Can't say enough good about 'em.

The 888? Any comments on flex? I’m going to put together a g400 fairway over the winter and will try this out.

I got on board the lighter shaft trend and have found its not working for me. I'm moving back to 125 gram iron shafts and 70g driver shafts and 90 gram hybrid shafts. Just wondering what everyone's favorite 80 gram fairway shaft is so I can get some ideas. For reference my favorite driver shaft is the Matrix F7M2.

I've got a Kai 'Li 80 in my three wood. It's very stable, but very smooth.

Kiyoshi White 75 is fantastic, more stable than the Purple, with a slightly higher launch. Can't go wrong with the aforementioned Blueboard either.
