Just saw a clip of Herbert? putting and hitting another players poker chip ball marker with his ball. Probably wasn't going in but definitely stopped farther away from the hole then it would have.

 

Granted I don't think he hit it on the line he wanted to but why would you use a poker chip if your ball is in between another player and the hole and it's close enough it could hit it? I carry one, but always use a coin if I'm close to another player's line. Balls just usually roll right over the small flat markers.

 

Guess the player putting should have said something but seems like a no brainier.

No, sorry. It was either on the spotlight stream or the 3 hole channel stream that's going on the golf channels website. He made the next putt so not much drama but just seemed dumb.

He putted it to the middle of the bunker with an iron then got up and down. Great play. He was right up against the wall and couldn't advance it at all.

That wasn't a 2 iron. The GAPR is definitely in his bag. I heard Stevie on SXM and he said there's not many 2 irons out there.

Not sure if it's in the bag and he just hasn't hit or not in the bag at all. On the holes where he has hit an iron off the tee, they seem to be like 4 or 5 irons laying it back a bit. On one hole it looked like he hit a 8 iron off the tee.

Very different test from other Opens, not blowing like mad, no crazy rough but it's still Carnoustie and it's still tough enough. Course providing a very interesting challenge so far, the ball might be flying 50 yards further than normal but that provides its own challenges too. Looked like Koepka was going to bully the course and he's +4 after 8. Great respect still needed for the layout.

I tried to find a picture of it; I couldn't. The black swan is actually a square huge block of metal, and this one is curved. Black something promo? Both are ugly, but hey if it works... as long as you hold it with two hands I guess they all conform...
