Srixon's new Z785 driver

I thought PO was$100 upcharge? Its free

Yep no charge. Pretty sure all of the shaft options are no charge which pretty much makes this driver the best deal going right now.

The sites I looked at had the PO listed as $100 upcharge.

Try looking at Srixon's site. That's where I looked.

Ha, you are right. So, if anyone is looking to order, go direct to Srixon. It has to be an error on their part. Every other site I've checked shows it as an upcharge.

Yeah that's kind of interesting. I thought I had read somewhere that the shafts were all no upcharge but maybe not. PO is a sick no charge option, haha

If you never change adapter settings (me) then buy z585. Just got one with Pro Blue for $400

Don't forget the 585 is more closed face. I would have totally chose the 585 if it was neutral to open but since I fight a hook no bueno for me

Got to hold these in hand today. The Z785 is a great shape. The carbon shows, but not as much as the Callaway drivers. Heck, I thought the Z585 would be huge footprint with a shallower face. Not the case. Seemed to sit pretty square. My only complaint was that it seemed very upright. Or at least the toe sat higher.

Didn't have time to hit them, but they look great. Held the Z785 irons too. Side by side from the Z765 they look identical from address.

I'll give it a shot to see if it's as solid as it looks. Not really in the market, but I'm not in love with the feel of the Rogue.

Hit everything yesterday and this was best for me by a decent margin. The feel is a bit more tinny but not like the last years Pings. I loved the shape and setup. I had the highest ball speed and swing speeds with the 785. The new Titleist stuff was meh, nothing overwhelming but definitely better than the previous Titleist lines.

The Pro Orange has a 2 week back order if thats what you ordered. I talked to them and they said they expected to build those and ship them on the 17th.

I spoke with a rep about the upcharge for shafts. He gave the same info, that if you order before 9/14 there are no upcharges for the shafts. After 9/14 upcharges will be made for pretty much everything except the HZRDUS Black and Yellow. So if you're looking for a shaft besides those... order fast.

i got the HC EF Blue. I'm pretty excited about that one. No upcharge is what made me pull the trigger so fast. Otherwise I might have waited for more reviews.

I so want to pull the trigger on one of these with the pro orange 70. Swinging a RIP Phenom 70 in my 913 D2. Swing speed of 95, quick tempo and lite shafts and me dont get along. Also play at 44.5. Ball flight medium and always had high spin numbers in every shaft I've ever tested. I would order through DD and get it delivered up here in Canada which by the time I get the season could be over so the 60 days dont help.

Dam these 1st world problems. (Any advice would be great)

I've been hitting both the 585 and 785 for about 3 weeks now. Both are EXTREMELY good clubs...maybe some of the best driver's I've ever hit. I tend to favor the 785 though. It's set up a little better for me with the HC EvenFlow blue, deeper face, and less "left bias" (my miss is a big hook). Also the feel and sound of the 785 is a bit deeper and muted over the 585. 585 sounds and feels a bit more like say a PING G30...louder and more metallic. Not a bad sound or feel necessarily, but I just prefer a more muted sound. Both are HOT off the face, with the 785 being a bit more so for me. Both beat my Rogue SZ and, as badly as I hate to say it, my beloved G400, all day long. On any swing. Forgiveness is very high on both Srixons.

Overall I LOVE this new series by Srixon. And wait until you guys hit the hybrids! I, no joke, hit the 3 hybrid as far as my 3 WOOD rogue SZ fairway wood. With more height and stopping power.

I was concerned about the difference in forgiveness between the 585 and 785. I went with teh 785 anyway, but in your testing did you see a big difference between the two?

No, I didn't notice a real difference in the forgiveness at all. I will say that, for whatever reason, I stole both of these drivers more centered/sweet spot than I have hit any drivers in a LONG time, but when I do miss outside the center, didn't notice much difference at all. Overall the 785 was longer for me, and as I said in the previous post, the more muted sound and feel really gave it more of a "premium club" feel over the 585.

I've had/have all of those, and I found the Rogue to be more forgiving than the Epic, G400 to be way more forgiving than the Rogue, and I have to say that the 785/585 are more forgiving than all of those. I see no reason at all to take the 785/HC EvenFlow combo out of my bag. I have to say that for me, without question, the 785 is the best driver of 2018.

It's sad that the Canadian-side of the golf companies can't deliver on the same options. Taylormade, Cobra, Srixon, etc.

We don't even have an option (online) to choose the shaft

I thought I would find them to be closed but the Srixon rep had demos out on Saturday at PGAtoursupertore. I did not find them to have the normal closed toe look at all.
