The 915 I had turned out to be a big disappointment. Horrible sound, so spiny.

Could not agree more. Loved the look at address, but it all went south from there.

I also hated the 2016 M1 460, but loved the 17 M1 440... what are the real differences?

I nearly put the 2016 M range but feared being ridiculed. Less white and a better sound and feel in the 17 version.

I would say the 2016 M range are the best drivers Taylormade has ever made.

As for worst, nothing is really worst. It all depends on if that particular head suits your eye and launch needs. If you're an ultra low spin guy you may like Titleist. If you are a higher cap, Ping may be what you need. If you are 70% of all players you love Callaway or Taylormade. If you enjoy hidden gems, then Cobra is your match. All these companies make excellent golf clubs. Now if I had to pick one head that fit the LEAST amount of people, SLDR is it. However for higher spin good ball strikers it was the holy grail.

I know a couple of people that would agree with you. They hit their 2016 M2 drivers amazingly well. To me it was just a white, bad sounding SLDR. Each to their own I guess.

This thread should end with the TM Jetspeed. I have never hated a driver more from a major company.

There aren't really any bad drivers any more, just products that don't really fit a niche and really shouldn't be anyone's first choice. Like the Titleist offerings 915, 917 for example. High quality clubs, but who do they really fit? Obviously if you're looking low spin, Titleist hasn't really gone after the agressively forward cg market. If you want a mid cg driver, you're going to get better ball speeds and lower spin off a m2, epic, cobra ltd, etc. If you're a low spin player and looking for a higher spin club, why not take advantage of the massive forgiveness of the Ping offerings?

I think the winning Driver on the "Driver vs Driver" show was a bit of a dud, wasn't it?

Ding ding ding! The TaylorMade JetSpeed is a close second.

Yes, and I'd suggest the Aeroburner is also a strong candidate.

Some combo of any or all:

Ping G400 LST 10* w/ Px Evenflow Blue 75 6.0
Rogue SZ 15* w/ Px Evenflow Blue 75 6.0
Cally 416 19* Hybrid w/ Diamana S+ 82g Stiff
4-PW: Callaway (OG) Apex w/ KBS PGI 80g / Bridgestone J40 Combo 4-P w/ Steelfiber i95 Stiff
52*, 56* Vokey SM5's

60* Wilson Staff
Ping Ti Anser Wrx

Callaway 815 dbd, my worst & best.

Up until that point, I had never enjoyed a sound & feel of a driver more than that driver.

When struck out the middle with a square face, it was untouchable, however, the same awesome strike with a hair off the sweet spot & it missed fairways & was 20-30 short.

I tried 4 top shafts that I knew well & bombed in other heads but no way, they made no difference, eventually gave up & sold it for the 816 dbd.

I will admit that my SLDR has a knuckle hook tendency when I’m not swinging it well, but today on the range I was opening the face a little bit at address and absolutely murdering it. It’s an 11* 430TP. The one thing I will say about it is I feel like I cannot lose one right, which was my miss before the SLDR.
