Iblade 2.0

An iBlade replacement with less spin makes me even more convinced to go after Blueprint short irons. I've had a few too many "fliers" from a pe> @GolfChannel said:

Because no tour players have them in their hands. When iBlade came out in 2016, we didn't see any pictures until late May at the Players. I'm guessing that's about when we'll see 2.0 this year.

I think Ping would’ve introduced a new iBlade but the Blueprints (from my peeps) reluctantly became the first move. I would imagine they will sit on the MB’s for a spell. Give the boys some time to realize a full blow MB might not be the end all then introduce the next iBlade/S to save the day! Create some Ping converts in the process. I garantee the Blueprints find my bag at some point but I know for a fact the next players CB makes a heck of lot more sense. BB

I am hoping they don't stop making these. Love my iBlades. Tried the Blueprints...less spin per iron which was surprising. Ping fitter says that's not uncommon. Tried the i210s...nice but I don't get where everyone is saying they are softer than iBlade. I did not get that from my testing. Also, Ping needs to keep making this type of blade and Stealth wedges where they can fine tune swing weights with the back insert. I play my irons in the orange dot and 1 inch short. Ping's build out is perfect and they can meet the swing weight goals. This something they can't do with the i500s or Forged glide wedges.

I love my iBlades. They are the best iron I have ever hit in terms of feel, consistency, and playability. That said, I would totally rock a Blueprint/iBlade combo set, but I’m not pulling the trigger on anything till I see the new iBlade.

i210’s are the definition of “meh”. I love Ping, but those who say i210’s feel great are a good example of convincing yourself something is better when it isn’t because you paid so much switching from an amazing iron in the i200 to a bang average iron comparatively in the i210.

Have to agree, preferred the i200 over the i210. I like the iblade, but once again if I had to pick between iblade and s55 I would have to go with s55. The s55 was basically the forgiveness and C-Dim of a cavity back in the package of a "blade". Lots of PING staffers still playing s55.

My first set after my 5 year layoff was a set of S55’s gifted to me by a friend. I tried to get on with them, but my swing at that point needed a shovel so I traded them for the biggest “shovel” my eyes could stomach being someone who has only ever hit blades their entire life I got some Mizuno 900 Hot Metals. I eventually worked back to blades. My practice set is still my Grandfathers last set of irons he ever bought before he passed a set of Tommy Armor V-31 Evo II Forged Blades. I went through the following in order to get to my iBlades: 716 AP2, i200, Apex Pro, and finally my babies. Came down to the MP18 Blades and the iBlades, but they are just so ridiculously easy to hit in the long irons and the feel was different from the Mizuno but really good.

I have neither and I found the i210 at least as good as the i200. No idea where this hate for it comes from. I think it delivers exactly what Ping promised. A cast club with a buttery feel - at least buttery out of the center. Off the toe it sounds different than a forged club's toe strike. But I don't really care about how a bad shot feels bad from club to club. I don't rank my clubs by the pleasant sound it makes when I make a really bad strike.

Did a ping demo day recently. Rep basically said "keep your S56s." He also told me that no replacement for iBlade scheduled before early 2020. I had a hair better on dispersion with the iBlades, but not enough to make them a "must get now." 7 iron distance pretty much the same for me with same (KBS Tour 120S) shafts. Tried the i210s but they felt terrible to me and my numbers were all worse than with iBlade. Blueprints do look pretty, but personally I'd rather play my old Hogan Apex '99 if I wanted a true forged muscle back (although the Blueprints are more like the size of the '92 Ft. Worths, as in tiny).

Might be my favorite set ever! I stupidly sold them, immediately regretted it, and tried to build a new set to the exact specs. But, couldn’t recapture the magic. Working with a set of iBlades now that shows real promise. When you find “the one,” don’t let it go!!

When I got fitted by Ping, I hit every iron the had with every available golf shaft combination they put together for me, and in the end the iBlade gave me the best results combined with the PX 6.5 flighted. I still own the Callaway TA Prototypes (best iron I've ever played until the iBlades), the Pings are a bit more forgiving, look great and simply perform, I've demoed the blueprint P. 7, 4 irons, they are great, no doubt, I just prefer the iBlade overall performance especially on mishits, just my .02...

I can not believe that the Blueprint will be the iBlade replacement. Whether from a price Standpoint nor from a forgiveness standpoint.

I think the Blueprint is special (and forged). But it cannot be a replacement for the iBlade.

I also think that the new i220 will be here soon. Normal live circle is 1,5 Years....

Blueprints aren’t selling as expected, so the iBlade 2.0 got pushed back so they could try to recoup more $$$ before golfers not on WRX forget it even exists. Sucks, but not much we can do but wait.
