New Mizuno irons coming - Tour Proto Pics

Very close to getting some 919 Forged, but, wow, those HMB’s look insane. Curious to see how they may compare/contrast.

Amen so Mizuno is going after the 5% of the 10% golfing population. Go MMC in lefty or go home.

This SEL set is exactly what I would want to order with the exception of the 5 iron. Mizuno (which I strongly hated for not offering anything good for lefties) has pulled me back in. Something I didn’t think would happen

same. If you can’t play these, get the 919 forged. Wasn’t blown away by the blueprints (although the baby blade size makes shaping shots fun) so now it’s between a 620 mb/cb combo and these.

Agree 1,000,000% The MP20 blade will go after the 5% of the 10% of market. Heck make the MP55 in a modern loft in LH/RH easy to make molds in each. Mizuno keeps jumping the shark.

Titleists are usually a bit more expensive even though Mizuno forgings have been superior for a while now.

Sure, in a perfect world I’d have lefty JPX tours or red dot callaway apex pros or Z forged Srixons or miura mc-501s. That being said, lefty’s now have a full range of quality “new tech” Japanese forged irons, from JPX forged to Srixon Z785 (a better version of mp18 sc) to the mp20 blades.

I'm sure others have thought this through, but about shaft choice when doing a combo (MB/MMC) with the MP-20s. It's noted that the $ Tapers are stock on the MMC due to the more flighted trajectory, while the blades use DG. Due to the differing tendencies of the heads, what would be a good shaft to accommodate both? I guess that's what fitting needs to determine

Maybe I overlooked comments regarding price but was a price put out for the T20 wedges? I assume $150?

This decision to make a LH Blade and HMB combo set available was based off tons of data crunching - it was not just a " who cares about the lefties" set. I believe that you will see lots of these sold.

>

Ryan, I love your clubmaking videos so thank you but the only extensive data Mizuno has is that lefties don't buy their irons. I'd guarantee that lefties buy the AP2s/P790s 20-1 over Mizunos MP Line. How can extensive data also show that blades are the biggest seller? You know blades are not a big seller, they are just the cheapest to make to throw us a bone. That is why the MMC doesn't come in lefty. It is too expensive to make for them to offer in lefty so they disguise their cheapness in a set of LEFTY ONLY CLUBS.

In 2019, when the least amount of tour guys in history play blades, me as a lefty has more options than ever. I can go Titleist, Older Mizuno(or older anything), Miura, National Custom, etc. I really really didn't need another blade option but they are the cheapest club to make so here we are.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but the toe section looks a bit more bulbous, a bit more stretched out. I'm sure it's something with weight distribution, but ugh, it ruins the entire look of the club at address. Hopefully we start to see some address shots behind a ball and some comparison shots with the 18s.

I generally don’t look on many iron threads on here , because I know that mizuno make the best irons and wedges by a considerable margin. But are other iron threads disintegrated by moaning lefties and shaft ho’s?
