I can't fall in love with this type of courses, like Kingsbarns or Castle Stuart they have lot of eye candy, and manifactured design, but they lack charme and quirkiness. Would be an enjoyable round though.

Just heard Stenson yell "fore right!" in a very loud voice. Apparently he can yell "fore" after all. Maybe only when he plays in Europe?

i don't think that course has any of the eye candy that those two have, and isn't in the same league as those two as far as a pure round of golf ... it doesn't have that many water views ...

The non shouting of fore is just ridiculous, earlier this week Jimmy Walker blocked his second shot in to a par 5, his ball landed about 3 or 4 paces in front of a child in a pram, no shout.

Agreed, piece of land is nowhere near as beautiful as those two, but the concept is the same

Hebert was probably very confused down the stretch whether he should be warming up or not. First it looked like he was in a playoff, then Wiesberger was up 1 and going to win, then it was tied again, then it looked like Hebert would win, and finally tied again.

Just finished watching on YoutubeTV and came to check and see if that was on the regular broadcast as well. Both Sat/Sun at times we could hear the director as clearly as Feherty and Lerner.

More of an agonizing playoff than an exuberant one and fair enough if most folks had called it a day by 9pm on a Sunday night.

Not sure it'll be a great advertisement for US-based players thinking of getting prep in ahead of the 2020 Open though, yeah yeah it was wet early in the week, but still not a great like-for-like for an actual links course. They'll need to reposition the van and broadcast booth on 18 for next year that's for sure.

I know what you mean - I played KB and Carnoustie back to back, and whilst KB is more fun, it lacked a certain something that the older links like Carnoustie and RSG have in spades.
