FWIW, the Cardinal Course at CC of North Carolina from the 3 longest set of tees has a front and back side slope that are equal (or within a point). However from each of these tee sets the CR is 1.0 strokes lower on the front vs the back (and the course is par 36-36). So this is a well known (locally anyway) course that will (depending on round off) often see this kind of thing.

Gotcha, I was thinking of the 18 hole scorecard and going by allocation of strokes that way. Good thing I seem to never play 9.

When is the Ghin lookup or entry going to be up and working. As of 11:36am CST, 1/7/2019, can not access either by web or by iPhone.

It may vary by state or regional association. Right now, I can access lookup and posting, on both the web and phone, and I'm in Virginia. Of course, I'm inside watching the snow come down, so I have nothing to post. I'm just sitting on the bench here playing with the pencils. I've read that the Carolinas GA is working through some issues, so has asked its members to wait at least another day before posting.

You may never intend to play 9. But if you truly never play 9 then you have far more predictable weather than what I am accustomed to.

Thanks. Just impatient. I'm in Oklahoma, where golf is played year round.... could be 10*F or 70*F during the winter. Currently 60*F and I see some neighbors have put their in-ground sprinkler systems on during lunch time. I might do the same, just have my expensive reverse-flow preventer valve in the garage (in case of a freeze) and can be connected in 5 min with screw-on union PVC connectors.

You're showing the AGA site. I see a DASHBOARD/POST A SCORE link at the top.

Does that re-direct you to GHIN ? Or do you stay on the AGA site and they "interface" with GHIN ?

Because if the former that message is not correct. GHIN works. It appears that only "Hole-by-Hole" is not working correctly and even that may work correctly if one has the patience to unscramble the holes and enter the correct score in the correct slot.

But posting a NDB score that you calculate correctly yourself appears to work just fine. At least on GHIN. If you're going through AGA and AGA is not interfacing correctly, then that message may actually be correct.

Have you tried going directly to GHIN ?

I believe if you enter your scores as a gross score, correctly adjusting for NDB, if any, they will post correctly and your handicap will be correct. Mine is after posting 2 scores.

It's the HBH that's messed up in some cases, just wrong in others. It's something of a mess.

But I've thought of another point.

I wonder if courses are somehow required to enter enough course data for GHIN to do the HBH correctly ?

On the old system, did the HBH (on GHIN of course) adjust for ESC ? Or did the user need to input the adjusted (by themselves of course) strokes on each hole ?

Is it possible, if the courses aren't somehow required to enter the appropriate course data, that the individual course may just be saying "We don't have time. You entered gross adjusted totals before, just enter them the same way now." (without actually saying that though LOL).

I was able to post Total Scores on January 5 and 6, but now the Ghin website is showing NH for January 7. I'm guessing we got a free look the first week but my Club hasn't paid our 2020 dues yet and I can't get a handicap until they do.

As long as I am signed in, I see Golfer Lookup, and it seems to work fine in my very limited efforts. If I sign out, the Lookup is no longer there.

Ok, you never had to sign in before to do a golfer lookup.... i know, because i used to look people up all the time and never signed in. Do you have to be a USGA member then, to sign in? (My wife is :-).

Put your name and GHIN number in the first page. That logs you in. On the next page in the blue bar, upper left "Golfer Lookup".

Totally understand. I have the same problem on my phone (android 9) all the time. I have to login on PC or laptop to delete the errant quotes. Very annoying.

It looks to me like things are working properly, at least in Virginia. I had noticed issues with par differing from one tee to another, and had noticed holes and handicap numbering being listed in random order, those issues have been cleaned up. Before this morning, hole by hole posting for Virginia courses hadn't been enabled, but that appears to be working now too. All I need is for the snow to melt. Or I'll just go to Palm Springs, leaving Saturday morning :D.@bladehunter if I remember right you had some concerns about the hole by hole posting. How was that experience for you?
