New FlightScope Mevo+ (MERGED)

I chose indoor mode and am getting similar results (I have 13 ft from mat to screen). I absolutely nuked a 7 iron and only got ~165 carry, when I know for a fact I carry that club 180-185. I will give short indoor mode a try later on and update the thread.

Have you guys tried the E6 app. I got better numbers in there. I played 9 holes and all my irons seemed spot on.

I CANNOT get the E6 connect to work. When I'm connected to the mevo+, E6 says, no license, no internet, etc. When I connect to our home wifi and try to log in, it doesn't like my email/password but I can use the same info to log in on the website and it works fine wtf ?

It was a pain in the butt. You have to follow the instructions to a T. Exit all the apps send start over.

On the other hand, I cannot get the FS Skills app to record a shot. I sent in a comment to FS. Hopefully they get back soon.

I didn't have that issue. I did create a new account and it only gave me aviary then I had to update the qr code a 2nd rime to get all 5 courses.

I went to the range today and the driver was way short. The irons were spot on though. I pulled up the E6 app and it had driver carry about 20 yards longer on avg, which is probably close to correct. So, i think it will be a software update more than likely.

yes I'm only using iPad. I have an android phone.

So I was starting to get some pretty realistic numbers with my 5 iron yesterday, and I decided to take it to the outdoor range this morning. I couldn't get it to record a single shot, and I'm pretty confident I had it set up correctly. Needless to say I'm pretty frustrated. I'm going to go back down to my basement later today or tomorrow and make sure it's still working down there. I'm also going to download the android app (it's a skills challenge or something) and see how that functions.

I've had mine a while now... and it's been a long several months of tweaking my setup/enviornment to get the best results. It has taken some effort, but finally getting reliable enough numbers I can trust. I wish it was easier to get it set up honestly. For inexperienced users that aren't very savvy with technology or those that dont already have a good baseline idea of their numbers it could be really frustrating.

Both FS Skills and FS Golf are available on Android. FS Golf is the flagship app for the Mevo+ regardless of iPad or Android. It gives all data points available to the Mevo+. Definately test in FS Golf and use the feedback function in the app to report any issues, so that way FS can get your unit and session data when you report. If using iPad without data though, be sure to open FS Golf again while on your home wifi so your feedback can be sent over wifi... the Android version of FS Golf really needs some work though. I had a horrible experience with FS Golf in Android not picking up shots and changing the handedness in my profile... I reported it and FS said they found issues with the Android FS Golf app and it needs some updates.. caution with FS Golf for android until bugs get worked out. Stick to iOS and FS Golf for now if you are testing.

I ordered TGC2019 this weekend and got it all set up configured on my laptop. I have to say it's pretty sweet and I don't have to mess with stupid E6.

I've only hit up to my 21° hybrid so far, but the distances seem very realistic. I haven't got the putting to work yet so I just turned it off in the settings.

On their site right now it says 14 weeks. They really should amend their policy and take only a downpayment for pre-order. At this point it would be foolish to pay them $2k when by October Trackman or Foresight could have come out with something better. I'll wait until October and if I don't find something comparable or better by then, I might still be in the market.

I ordered 3/23 through Flightscope.

I received an email on Tuesday June 23rd that said my Mevo+ would ship week of 6/29 and that I would receive a tracking number.

I never received a shipping notice or a tracking number.

Response from Flightscope: "It shipped last week, we will see if we can find a tracking number."

If you don't have a tracking number, how do you know it shipped?????

I just got my unit today and am trying to set it up. Every time I connect to my iPhone and check the firmware I get this message:

The radar is already connected to the FS Golf app, so this message is super unhelpful. Can any other users confirm if my firmware versions are current?

How well is the Mevo+ working with the sim? Did you have some other device hooked up previously and if so, how do they compare?

This is my first time using a launch monitor or a sim so I have nothing to compare it to. I'm still trying to trial and error the perfect settings, but for the most part I'm really liking it.

I've been watching a lot of comparison videos between other launch monitors and the Mevo+ side by side and it seems pretty accurate except for two main measurements. Those would be horizontal spin and the carry distance. I don't know why but it seems to be very close in ball speed but Mevo+ always shows significantly longer carry distance than GC2, for example. As everyone has stated, hopefully an early update to the Mevo+ will fix this but right now it seems like something people are stuck with. The spin axis numbers appear to be way off in all side-by-side tests that I have seen. Compared to GC2, it sometimes doesn't even have the same spin direction.

I have had my Mevo+ for a week. I have used it outside twice - I haven't tried indoors yet. So far, carry distance outside is spot on when comparing to laser to targets.

Several weeks of my Mevo+ and its going back to FS for analysis. Been profoundly disappointed with it and support (lack of) so far.

 

I'm told an IOS update caused instability in the software but both FS Golf and E6 will disconnect from the wifi within a few shots.

 

Last time I used it for 10 shots in E6, data was terrible. Flying shots over a 150 sign at the range, would show 140's and occasional 120 distance.

 

FS golf appeared to give better data but it was hard to get 5 shots out of it before reboot the Mevo time.

 

I seem to be in the minority wanting to use it outdoors :)

Mine has had a few glitches of disconnecting after a while but I can usually get it back and working in 5 mins, I just do a power cycle and reconnect. However, on the FS app it simply does not read Driver and 3wd carry distances correctly. Ball speed and everything else seems fine, just carry. Ill have 170+ bs and carry week day 260-270. Irons are spot on for all modes though. Im still happy and the driver carry seems slightly better with the E6 app but still short.
