Just grab the 919s while you can for cheap. Are they they prettiest irons? No. But they flat out perform. As much as I love the MP20 set I have, the 919 forged kicked them out because they are easy to hit and my scores are lower.

Those are all really good points, one thing I left out was that I could have always just gamed the Tour after I sold the forged but I think it was just me needing a change out of the JPX line. I can’t sit here and say they didn’t make a more playable iron than the forged

Do you think they’re going to drop the Tour all together and just focus on the Forged and Hot Metal’s?

I think the current 919 Tour is far too popular to not offer in the new JPX line. I grabbed a set of Tours because they play very close to my beloved MP 32’s. The Forged is probably a better iron for me however my love affair with blades (or blade like irons) continues.

The Hot Metal models of irons are their top sellers so I expect a modest reworking that keeps their appeal high.

The 919 Tours are completely sold out as of Saturday. I ordered them yesterday and my order was cancelled. They will be releasing a new JPX line in the fall.

This exciting news if true. Could we get the new line in July....for purchase? Usually there is a tease in July and then they drop a few month later in late September. I would love to buy new irons in July and play them instead of looking at them all winter!

I bought the 800's when they first came out, put them into the spare bag in the garage when the 850's came out and bought a set of 825's on serious sale and they are still in my bag.

 

Great clubs, the last real game improvement clubs to avoid the longer more upright movement.

I read where Mizuno retired the 919 production line on June 19th. Hopefully we see something soon....

Mizuno is always a September launch. They originally pushed back the 921 series to October due to covid and shutdowns. Once things opened they sold out of almost everything 919 basically instantly. So they moved the launch back up. I don't think that means they are moving to an early release. They still have the current MP20 line available.

JPX line is the most interesting line in golf imo. You have a cool edgy. bladed iron, a completely forged players distance iron with feel and two SGI irons..one with a players look. Best of all, Mizuno does a great job designing all these irons so they can blend seamlessly. I can't wait to see what they are going to do next!

I believe he means all 919 models are sold out as of June 19 and there is no more being produced. Mizuno is full speed ahead on their new JPX line which should land in mid to late September.

Hard to believe that they’d go without irons available during the peak of play season. I question the business sense of that...

I don't think you will see him switch till after the season. That is when he switched to the 919 tours. Unless they are something outstandingly better. I think mid July we will see some spy picks though.

ST200 woods are selling out as well. No more 5 woods as of today.. Mizuno seems to be killing it.
