what is more forgiving, the M5 or the new Sim?

what about the M5 with both weights in the back (one in max fade, one in max draw) vs the Sim?

just curious because I read the MOI of the SIM is higher than the M5, but can’t confirm that, and especially can’t confirm that against the M5 in its most forgiving weight setup.

Thanks!

What length you playing yours at? I have a 19 gram on the way and hoping 44.75” with a GP TV Cord brings me in at D2/3.

BTW, sweet job with the lead tape.

Fitment looks nice Hammer...I was lucky that my club maker only needed 2.5 grams of hot melt to the head to get me to D2 on my scale at a little over 44.75" with an Accra TZ6 65M4 shaft. Just got back from hitting it and its so much easier than my ST190 and as long I would say from the range eyeball. Cheers brother

Guess I forgot to mention that: mine’s -1” (44.75”). Also, I have the Ventus w/VeloCore transplanted from another driver, so just an FYI for anyone using the TM version (non-VeloCore) - there is a weight difference between the two shafts. The VeloCore shaft, cut to the same length as the TM version is about 5g lighter. Since I don’t have hot melt, adding the extra lead tape was what it took to be at D3, and that’s using a 47g MCC grip.Great driver for sure. I liked the ST190 head, but hated the Atmos shaft. Thought it was a bad idea to unload the G400, but since I ended up with the new Max, I’m completely happy. Hit yours well!

thanks Hammer same to you and still love my ST190 with the Fuji Speeder TR 661 S in her. She is long just not as forgiving as the SIM max for sure. Great reading more driver SW mod posts from you. Always making it happen to get that swing weight proper! Well done

Serious question: I've tried to get fit into a stiffer shaft for woods and the driver. All but one of the fitting locations I've called told me that you aren't supplying them with 'that much options'. It seems that the amount of options available on demo-days differ from what is available at the fitters and I sincerely wonder why. (The one that did have more options somehow fits using rangeballs, that's not something I wish to do.)

As you can see in my signature I have two fairwaywoods en route, but as I have only been able to use rangeballs I am not 100% confident this truly is the right match for me.

Slapping the ball around a bit, having loads of fun.

I want to echo this as well. You can see in my sig that I don’t have any TM sticks in the bag. Congrats to TaylorMade for doing this on GolfWRX! Well done!

What are the differences between the Sim gear that DJ and other pros use versus what is available for retail? Are they completely different animals or fairly similar?

@TaylorMade Golf
Couple questions, when will the MG2 hi bounce wedges be available? I see it in your custom pages saying available in spring 2020.
I'm wondering if TM could produce a limited or special run of centershafted long putters similar to Scott McCarron's, I would buy couple if it's is available. I'm sure Scott would love having few backups.

Pushing my new sim hybrids

I just recently bought a new set of sim max irons with the Recoil 460 shaft. This was fitted using Mizuno's iron fitting tool. My set also included a M6 10.5 driver (adjusted to face open 1 setting) with Atmos Orange shaft. Loving my last hybrid, I bought a sim hybrid #3, #4 and #5 with stock Ventus Blue shaft. I have quite a steep swing path and swing approx 85 mph(driver). I tend to hit all my shots quite straight except for my new hybrids when I am push the ball almost every time. I am finding the face of the hybrids are open 10-15 degrees at strike. What could be possible fixes for my problem? I'm not sure of ball position or whether to hit the ball as an iron or a wood. Could shaft change to a UST v2HL or Recoil 460 or KBS Max help? Are shaft adjusters a possibility for a sim hybrid?

Can you get the MMT shafts in different weights? You only have one weight to choose from on line.

@TaylorMade Golf - why aren't you using AI for face design? If Callaway made Flashface on Microsoft's garbage Azure platform, imagine what you could do it you teamed up with Google for AI?!?!?!?! Call me.
