I just now saw footage of Rorys situation. His ball bounced the same, maybe even less that Reeds, and Rory says his was embedded.  I can’t stand Reed and I still think he’s a scumbag, but Rory did get the same outcome that Patrick did after seeing the video.

edited to add:  Rorys could have landed in its original pitch mark, Reeds could not have,

All reed had to do was push down a little with his fingers while picking it up to exaggerate the indentation. Cameras can’t pick that up

 I’ve watching the replay a few time. Rors looks like it bounced straight up to me, but it’s hard to tell from the straight on camera view.  Reeds obviously bounded well forward.

I totally understand why people take the stance they do when it comes to Patrick Reed, but without any evidence it's just an opinion, not fact and people were letting their beliefs influence what they were actually seeing.

Rorys ball appeared to bounce straight up in the air and could’ve gone back in it’s own pitch mark. The angle is not from the side so it’s difficult to be conclusive on that, but I don’t think that’s an extreme take. I’m not going to bother to post any other thoughts on it because I’ll just be lambasted for being impartial.

I ran it back again.. To my eyes, the ball jumped well forward.

What I'm hearing now is how much the tone of the conversation changed between Lerner and Brandel, when it came to Rors.. Lerner, especially emphasizing how "Wet" it was.. lol

Pretty unlikely. Especially since it looks like it went forward. Sounds like you’re making excuses for one player and not the other and not impartial at all

If you can, run it back and watch where the ball first lands (GC playing it in slo-mo, so easy to watch) and follow it.. It's pretty clear that it jumped forward.
